Left wing is pro-choice for abortion, why are they anti-choice for jobs?
Why should it be required to join a union and be subject to their fees to work a particular job?

"As many as 700,000 minority voters under age 30 may be unable to cast a ballot in November because of photo ID laws in certain states, according to a new study."
http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/new...ng-minorities/
analysis by Cohen and Rogowski was released this week by the Chicago-based Black Youth Project, a nonpartisan effort launched in 2004 to examine the political participation of African-Americans aged 15 to 25. It estimated that new photo requirements potentially could turn away:
—170,000 to 475,000 young black voters.
—68,000 to 250,000 young Hispanic voters.
—13,000 to 46,000 young Asian-American voters.
—1,700 to 6,400 young Native American voters.
—700 to 2,700 young Pacific Islander voters.

In Pennsylvania, where the state Supreme Court recently upheld the state’s photo ID law, an estimated 37,000 to 44,000 minority voters could be affected, the report found.
http://www.democrats.org/the-real-cost-of-photo-id-laws
11 percent of Americans—approximately 23 million citizens of voting age—lack proper photo ID and, as a result, could be turned away from the polls on Election Day.
lettuce not pretend that Republicans favor voter ID laws for any reason other than the people whose votes would be suppressed happen to vote democrat
(yes democrats are against them for the very same reason, but still, opposing voter ID laws supports minorities and their right to vote)

Because someone who cant make the effort to secure something as simple as identification is the kind of person we need voting. This makes sense.
You need ID to buy booze FFS, but you dont need it to cast a vote that determines the political direction an entire country takes?
Your desire for absolute fairness over rational common sense are dumbfounding in their stupidity bro.

There are fees associated with getting IDs. It takes time out of your day, which you may not be able to afford if you live in poverty and can't take time off work. It takes getting to a DMV which you may not have the means to do. Disabled people and older people also lack IDs in higher numbers and they would have trouble getting them sorted out. There's a great variety of reasons why a person may have difficulty getting an ID.
If there was significant voter fraud, maybe voter ID laws would be necessary. But there's just no evidence that they help.

Obtaining photo ID can be costly and burdensome, with even free state ID requiring documents like a birth certificate that can cost up to $25 in some places. According to a study from NYU's Brennan Center, 11 percent of voting-age citizens lack necessary photo ID while many people in rural areas have trouble accessing ID offices.

Stop being a parrot. Many poor people have IDs. The people you are referring to are not likely voters, so of course they have not taken the appropriate steps to vote like everyone else.
If one of your main argument is that it cost money, yet they are being give to people for free, then you're pretty much done on that point man.

You are insane
The only reason why the Dems are making a mockery of the whole voter ID thing is BECAUSE the vast majority of those voters are going to cast votes in their favor! Only a liberal can accuse the opposition of acting out of self interest when they are guilty of the exact same thing.
This is not about partisan politics, its about common sense. How the hell are we allowing people to vote if they cant produce valid identification? Why would we want people who cant be bothered to secure identification to vote?
