durable weightlifting shirts
Where do you guys get your shirts. The problem I'm having is that 2 months after buying a cotton shirt they end up getting holes in the chest and shoulder region where the bar constantly touches.
Can you guys recommend any stores that sell durable shirts between 2 and 3xl.

I wear either an inzer shirt or a metal viking shirt (mainly because i get them for free) but they're pretty durable

Same here. I have some polos for business casual requirements,a few casual t-shirts, and a ton of powerlifting related t-shirts I still wear out and about, working around the house, and training.

OP, go to e-bay and get a couple of powerlifting t-shirts. Take part/help out at a meet or two and there are another couple of t-shirts. Job=done.

I buy mine from mark's work warehouse (not sure if that exists in the usa). They aren't massive holes but they are visible. Idk maybe its the way I wash it or something. I was thinking of getting some durable sythetic shirts but they just don't feel right.
I'm a starving student right now so I can't really afford to buy a new shirt every month.

I get free t-shirts all the time from sponsors and from shows so never a problem, maybe he is using a texas powerbar for benching.

I strip naked as soon as I get to the gym. Isaku loves it.
Go to Wal-Mart. Go find a package of T-shirts. They're probably like 20 for 50 cents. Buy them. Wear them.

Yes we know. We saw you half way done stripping when you went over to spot someone.

That was me getting out of my squat suit. I like to air the boys out for a good 20 minutes or so while the quad swelling goes down enough that I can get the damn thing off.
Or, I could simply go with the excuse that they needed a spot and nobody else was available.

Well, the obvioud answer is Ed Hardy t-shirts. Buy a new one for each training sessions. I think it was Arnold that says "If you don't look fresh, your gains will never be optimal." Maybe it was Jesus. I don't know.

Must do this.
OP, I retire my regular t-shirts to gym shirts when they are stained or too messed up to wear in public.

I still wear my Slayer shirt that I bought five years ago, even though it has holes in both armpits and small punctures all over the front. If it's that much of an issue that you have to be the prettiest girl at the ball then go to Wal-Mart and buy a pack of shirts for ten bucks. I heard from that Michael Jordan commercial that Hanes shirts are tagless, so maybe they'll boost your bench by 20 pounds.

I have a lot of t-shirts with holes/ half layers of fabric where I place the bar to squat and almost every shirt I've ever worn to the gym suffers from "weighted pullups belt chain bite" holes near the waist.
Current Bests (raw/singleply)
Squat- 435 / 512.5
Bench- 280 / 308.5
Deadlift- 495/ 534
Goals:
- Squat 500, Bench 325, Deadlift 550 raw at 181-220.
- Give the recreational bodybuilder thing a solid effort.
