Singer Justin Bieber flashed his rippling biceps and triceps while performing at the Q102’ Jingle Ball at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Dec. 5, 2012.
The lanky 5-foot-7 Bieber has been pumping iron to get buff, and the results of his workout regimen are starting to show. “I’ve been working out in the gym, getting bigger, trying to get sexy for the ladies," said Justin, 18.
While Justin may not be "ripped," it's a dramatic transformation from the string bean he was just a few short months ago.
The athletic Bieber recently posted a shirtless photo of himself on Twitter, where he put his developing six-pack abs on display. Justin, who's dating singer Selena Gomez, has been trying to pump up his lean physique for the past few years.
In November 2010, Bieber flashed his abs to singer Rihanna, causing her to tweet: "Justin Bieber just flashed me his abs in the middle of a restaurant! Wow! He actually had a 'lil 6-pack! Sexy, lol!"
Justin, whose meteoric rise to fame continues unabated, is determined not to fall prey to the drugs and alcohol that have marred the lives of other child stars.
"[Some people are waiting for me to] mess up because a lot of teen stars do," Bieber told Oprah Winfrey. "They make that mistake of getting into drugs or alcohol."
But Justin insists that won't happen to him because he surrounds himself with people he trusts that he can confide in about his problems.
"Just remembering what's important [curbs any self-destructive tendencies]," said Bieber, who works out regularly, plays sports and relaxes at least one day a week.
"I have to remember to take time for myself to talk to people about what I'm going through, about what's in my head."
