Get out of here stalker
Hnnnnnnng
If I were to buy a ring it'd be a cheap one, my fiance would have to be cool with it and not go crazy over the price. It's mainly a way to test her.

IDK, but my wife's set was like $800. She doesn't mind it. Real diamond, just not a high carat weight.

Why even buy a ring? The tradition of a diamond ring is because it lasts forever. Zirconium doesn't last forever so cough up or don't even bother. srs. Don't half-ass anything in life son
or if your wife doesn't give a fuk go ahead and be cheap but people will judge you if they find out srs mane

diamonds dont last forever. they will outlive their wearer -sure, but wont last for eternity. the sun will swallow the earth and that diamond will be carbon vaper in a cloud of matter

Wedding and engagement rings are stupid. It's an infantile pissing match, which is why having a fake diamond is not acceptable if you are going to participate in the culture of wedding rings.
It's unfortunate that it's socially acceptable for woman to be brain washed by needless consumerism and entitlement when it comes to weddings.

Funny enough I agree with you OP... I think that the massive amount of money people spend on engagement rings/diamonds is so insane. Save that money for something important. The beginings of a down payment on a house... Something that matters. Not some rock...
I have a SMALL diamond ring (That I was happy to get) that cost like $300 and I still think that was to much... It is a freaking piece of carbon...
Starting weight- May 14 2011- 184
Current weight- 136
"Life is but a game, And once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box. No matter our nobility, we all emulate the same end. So take no pride in it, for it is but an illusion, we will reach upon the point where we will be judged standing alongside those we have commanded. Whether or not we treated them fairly predicts our outcome."

Because the ring is symbolic of the love you share with your partner, and a diamond happens to be a big part of the ring.
If you use something fake, such as a CZ to symbolise the love between you and your partner, what does that say about the relationship?
Sure, love should be bigger than materials, but this is a view from the traditional sense.

The whole "you should spend loads of money" on a diamond engagement ring thing is a load of BS and actually a creation of the De Beers diamond corporation, they invented the phrase "diamonds are forever" as a marketing slogan and only mine/refine a certain quantity of diamonds a year in order to make them appear more rare and valuable to drive prices up. Srs look it up.

Ya and you dont get anywhere the same value if you want to pawn them or sell them. Rustled their jimmies when they tried pawning them when I used to work as a pawn teller.
