As the title says, whether its Bodybuilding, strength training, powerlifting, or just getting in shape what made you start? For me it would be i was sick of my older brother being bigger, stronger getting all the attention and taking the piss out of me for having a plain physique, shortly after all the teasing my mums boyfriend started bringing his old weight sets in the house so as you do you just randomly use them hear and there then i started to love the pain so i started researching etc and one of the biggest motivaters that got me so much more into was the documentary 'Pumping iron' it changed my life from the so i take it up a notch im suddenly the biggest in my highschool, getting comments etc so the i devote my self a few years down the line im bigger than my older brother, due to extreme commitment while he was clubbing every weekend, so yeah my body is still under construction and always will be!

I had to quit contact sports at 15 because I've had a heart operation so I started going to the gym to stay fit.

Many factors. I was never that super skinny kid, but I was always one of the weakest kids. I started lifting weights minimally for track and field training, did p90x as well. This did increase my track performance, but no physique change I could tell. I was always scared to try and build muscle for some reason, I realize now that I was stupid back then. My main motivation (75%) is simply self-improvement, but also to eventually prove a point to my peers (25%). I want to surprise people, make them think "That's Nicholkid!?" or something along those lines.
I got a vision for the life that's right in front of me
I got a right, I got a reason, got a destiny
I know exactly where I'm headed and Im never looking back.

Was 130 pound beta ****, depressed over girlfriend breaking up with me, and tired of being walked over by others. Started hitting the gym, 2 years later 197!
