Are 6 pack bags worth the money?? Also, some competition for them coming up?

What do you guys use when going out with 3-5 meals??

Just a cooler? or the actual 6 pack bag?

Is it worth the money for these 6 pack bags?

Also what do you guys think about these new food bags coming up?

I think carrying around 6 meals with you is stupid, inconvenient, and pointless. You don't need to eat 6 times a day.

If you're determined to alienate your friends, emasculate your social life and visually proclaim your disordered eating, then the investment in such a product probably makes sense.

$65 for that bag!!!! Nothing wrong at all with having a lunch box of some kind if you prefer taking your lunch to work etc etc....but there is no way I'm paying that kind of money when something much cheaper would do the trick.

Actually, he's correct for the majority of the population, as the majority of the population would have access to food without carrying a day or two of food with them.

in the long run, making food at home, and bring it to work, or where ever, is CHEAPER then eating out. and in the economy, saving money is key. plus, if work gets tough, many of us, like myself, don't leave for lunch. we eat at our desks/office.

so bring MEALS/FOOD with you each day is not "stupid, inconvenient, and pointless". And if you want to grow, EATING alot of meals is key. not everyone wants to be 170lbs lol

Many folks don't have to worry about the cost of food as it's truly inconsequential.

ya, i guess the world needs small people too. BUT when it comes to majority of ppl here on this forum, food is highly essential. so cost does play a role no matter what.

I remember watching his videos and he was very one-tracked as well, and not very educated on the subjects he was bashing.. nor did he take the time to educate himself because he plainly just didn't' care. While that is great for you guys, giving advice to normal non-steroidal individuals who work normal jobs and have families or college... might not be a great idea. Saying it's "LMAO wrong" to not eat 6 times a day is just weird.. can you please back that statement up with Science? Or explain how an individual like myself who followed DCA and achieved the exact results I was going for, and had my blood tests come back perfect is not right? I want to understand your reasoning a bit.....

my "wrong" is more so on the way it was "stupid, inconvenient, and pointless." meal frequency all depends on numerous factors. i dont expect someone on 2000cals per day to do that. 2-3 is fine. but saying "bring food with you is stupid, inconvenient, and pointless" does not apply to those of us that probably eat 2-3x as much as that individual.

Makes sense. I mis-read a bit there. Worked with a guy who did frequent 14 hour days, and he packed in one of those big bags because he was never home or near restaurants. He wasn't huge, but was 5' 10" and 205ish, and he ate a crap ton.

I got one for free. Used it. Liked it. It fell apart. I went back to using my ordinary one from Target or somewhere and its been used longer and is in better shape. I would never pay upwards of $50+ for a cooler. And to be honest, I don't even miss it now that I'm using my older, less advanced cooler'.

i eat more than 2x that and i dont go around carrying food in tuppers... i just do 2 big meals a day when i get home from gym and before going to bed.

As N0useforaname indicted, you seem unable to see beyond your preference and your specific circumstance.

The extreme majority folks have no trouble whatsoever meeting whatever their caloric intake target is without carrying a half a dozen meals with them each day.

You may have exceptional financial limitations and/or you may work in an environment without ready access to sources of food, but that does not mean that many others posting here are similarly afflicted.

In other words, basing general advice upon your unique circumstance is clearly suboptimal (and I'm being polite with my phrasing).

P.S. I consume north of 3,500 calories per day, the majority of which are derived outside my home. I have encounter zero problems without resorting to carrying any preprepared meals.

try 5500-6500cals like some of us. see what problems you encounter then but the competitive bodybuilder lifestyle is different then a person that just loves fitness and working out; different motives, different goals, and i understand that.

As long as you disclaim the reasons you do what you do, then it's fine.

But to offer advice, based on your unique situation and "supplementation", to those not in the same position can mislead folks.

I actually tried responding originally, but he never responded back.

But if you want my opinion, I would say NO. Go get yourself a normal cooler and ice packs if you are just looking for keeping your food fresh. If you are worried about image and want your cooler to look nice... then you might want to consider the expensive one. With any cooler and ice packs, I'd assume they all work the same.

ya a carry cooler will work just fine. my 6pak broke aswelll (zipper is a piece of junk). so been using my old shoulder cooler since. BUT if you need lots of food per day, the 6pak will barely fit your needs. the isobag looks better.

If you watched the video on the bag(s), they didn't look very sturdy to me. There are tons of reasons, outside of fitness people's needs, to carry food with you...for the money, I think there are better choices on the market.

We just bought a $20 coleman bag a month or so back that looks more durable than the isobag.
