Hammer strength V squat foot plate question

Hey guys,
I'm opening a gym over the summer in Madison and am finishing up getting my equipment lineup set. Through some trading to friends, I"m going to end up with two Hammer Strength V squats. The one I have matches all my other stuff, but has a smaller foot plate. The second one I'll be getting has a much larger footplate which I strongly prefer over my version. Will I be able to just switch the bigger one onto mine and sell the other one? Or are there two completely different versions of the V squat frame that were put out in different years? I'm assuming it's just an upgrade, but I'm not sure. Thanks!
