How to build weighted pack endurance?

I go on quite a few weighted-pack walks but I want to gradually increase the weight.

The weight mostly sits on my shoulders and hips.. Are there any exercises I could do to improve my strength to make carrying this pack easier/less dangerous?

    Cheers!

If you want to get better at carrying a pack, carry the pack. Obtain some 5 and 10 pound weight plates, and keep bumping up the load over time.
    No brain, no gain.

    You can't out-train bad nutrition.

"The fitness and nutrition world is a breeding ground for obsessive-compulsive behavior. The irony is that many of the things people worry about have no impact on results either way, and therefore aren't worth an ounce of concern."--Alan Aragon
