Has anyone here used a more popular "split" (i.e. full body/upper-lower/push-pull 3-4x a week) on here as well as a traditional split that favors 1x a week training and elaborate on what worked better for them? The conventional argument on this website seems to be frequency > volume so FB or U/L split is ideal, whereas the people I see in real life that are aesthetic all use 1x a week splits with lots of volume/variation in exercises. Anyone care to comment on what worked better for them?
I noticed faster gains when performing the big compounds twice a week. When I tried 4/5 day splits I didn't feel there was a reason for 6 whole days before working the same body part again. It felt like wasting time. It also doesn't take 7 different chest exercises in a workout to stimulate growth.
