Unhappy Side Raises & Incline Presses 'clicking'

    Hi,

Recently I've started to get a lot of clicking in my left shoulder when doing side raises and incline db pressing, it seems to be coming from my AC Joint. I wouldn't call it painful but it is quite uncomfortable.

My shoulders are pretty flexible and I always warm up my rotor cuffs and stretch before training.

Has anybody overcome this problem in the past?

Any tips/advice will be well appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Smudgee.

my ac joint is slightly displaced from a car accident and I've been getting the clicking as well. My dr told me to basically avoid things that aggravate it while it heals

hmmm I haven't been in any accidents lately so I'll cross that one out, but good luck with your recovery!

a labrum tear is also a possibility,
does the bone on the front part of the shoulder hurt when pressed hard, is it inflamed?
Generally anti inflammatory medicines and some exercises are all the poor shoulder needs

Any upper body exercise as drastic as incline press will put the most pressure on your shoulder joints, especially if it is with a wide grip. I does not necessarily mean a torn anything (labrum, RC, etc.), but just make sure you have maintenance exercises in your regimen like rotator cuff exercises, warmups, and assess any shoulder imbalances (like big front delts, barely any rear delts)

    Nope, it doesn't hurt.

My shoulder just clicks every time I raise it to the side, my Chiropractor has done all sorts of stretches - even ultrasound. But the clicking is still there, what bugs me is is that it's only on my left side.
