My name is Christopher, I used to be really skinny, started lifting and eating more and now I am skinny fat.
I lift 4x a week, I eat like a regular human being. I am 5'9, and 22 years old.
Before @ 145 pounds :
Now @ 171 (I'm sure it's less, I had all my meals and lots of water in my system already) :
This is for you guys that made a drastic transformation, you all know you wanted help at the beginning, and now you can be the help I need..
There is a ton of information out there available, but I just want to be aimed in the right direction...
We have all been there right.. new guy to fitness.. trying out what the guys at the gym tell you, trying exercises from magazines, taking advice from numerous youtube channels, buying all these kinds of supplements in hope to reach the physique of your dreams... I now have internet, and I am serious about getting in shape at all costs! I just signed up at the gym, bought a food scale, I am excited to start this journey!! I am currently using my fitness pal, is there a better approach to count calories?
Now I have my first question, should I cut or bulk? I gained a ton of BF from bulking like a pig. I want to make clean gains, and look shredded as hell!!

Doing really well. Bulk through winter but don't get over the top with putting on fat, try to stay where u are then after a cut you should look in some pretty great shape.

I use my fitness pal too! Do you hit your macro targets based on what MFP recommends ?? Or how do you figure out how much protein/cabrs/fat your body needs to grow?
I'm trying to lean bulk, I am having to much fat deposits on my lower abs area. I will check it out!
What is on and off season guys, any one know??

Im lifting for 4 years now, if made loads of mistakes and ups and downs. Went from 190 pounds to 130 pounds and 2 years of same weight but loads of strenght gains, weight is going back up again now.
Edit: 3 years for 5-6 days a week + doing more sports. And last year 4 times a week, this year i made solid gains and progress. It common to make mistakes which make you feel like you haven't been gaining any progress.
