Upward mobility of Dennis Wolf
What do we all think about Wolf's upward mobility? as in how much better can he get and whats the best spot he can get.
Arnold- 1st.........he already won last years (Branch did not deserve 2012 arnould.........he looked like crap)
Mr. O - 3rd. Don't realistically see him doing better than this and I am a wolf fan.

But there will be other guys that will just take the place of branch; in terms of coming ahead of wolf

Until he gets that gut in check and brings up lagging bodyparts (cough calves) he will begin a slow but steady descent from here on.
On the calf front I could be acting a little unfair, he has done a great job on his quads but they now really show up how weak his cows are.....
Rommy will have a fit in a mo.

I think it's really more a question of downward mobility. (I'm not kidding either).
I don't see him being able to make much more significant improvements to his physique.
That's just me personally though.
I think with the plethora of young talent coming through he's probably going to be ushered into lower placings overtime.
I hope Branch goes first though, dear god...

I was hoping after Branch went off on Dennis in the press conference that Wolf would actually counter. They just let Branch rip into Dennis haha

I think the best he can hope for will be top 5-6 for the next year or two, but if even half of the up and coming pros develop like we think they will, he will be bumped from those placings in the near future.

Really depends on how well the new guys do, how well the veterans due (Branch and his injuries, cutler's comeback, victor ever gets back to 100%), and if he can ever stay full and shredded.

Might win the Arnold if a lot of guys skip it, maybe another few top 6 placings at the O if he's lucky.

4-5 at the O. Not beating Phil, Kai or Jay if they're even half on. No reason he cant beat the others.

Olympia potentiaal was there but now all we have is assymmetrical lat syndrome(new disease) atrophied calf syndrome(new disease) and northern european skin that unsuccessfully adapted to the vegas sun . No, just no....Dude can market himself in many venues still. Stll hs time for WWM and MMA and few other sports but top tier bber is just a big NOOOO

yeah but the young guys probably need another 1-3 years.
I think if he just did the MR. O or anould he might be able to get his gut down a big. IF he hit is conditioning whcih is rarely does maybe a 3rd?
I honestly have no idea why branch is still placing so high......not a pleasent looking phsique.....only won the 2012 Arnould cause it makes a good story to sell

Can't see him beating Ced, Rhoden, Victor, Evan etc.
Even Dex if he wants to go for the Arnold again.
EDIT: I should clarify, I see what you're saying about missing it, but I really don't see all of them missing it, and realistically I don't see him beating any of them other than Evan, although he should come into next year improved.

He could take the Arnold this year if the competition is as barren as last year, unlikely though, Rhoden knows he'll probably win the show if he competes

Wolf beat Rhoden last time he competed.
Wolf can still beat Rhoden sometimes.........for a year or two.

Wolf beat an off Rhoden who had been competing like a motherf*cker, when both are on Rhoden is the better bodybuilder.

Im not sure that wolf can make any real improvements to his physique. His issues are mostly out of his control (torn calf, high lats, short biceps, high glutes... etc). Best he can hope for is to come in 100%, and keep coming in 100% to rack up some smaller pro show wins and maybe an arnold.

true. hard to say when someone will be really on though.
Rhoden definetly will have a great career. I see an Arnold win coming up soon

i love wolf.
i love what he brings as far as shape and mass with lines.
...but i don't see him cracking the top tier with the up-and-come'rs on the rise. rohden, mcmillian, and the premier top tier will and should keep him out of the top five at the O for some time.
i am NOT like others, and do NOT think he deserved the arnold last year. not to say i would decry such a win. i just felt he lacked too much. evan has great potential, but needs further devolopment. branch, for all his weaknesses capitalized on a weak roster, and by vid (imo, and i'm no branch fan) deserved that win. disagree all you like, but no argument holds undisputed weight.
wolf needs a shorter torso, deeper lats, something called calves, and a stage-consistent vacuum. where he's good, he's great, but where he misses, he's off the charts.

3rd at the O? Or the Arnold?
I think he could certainly place top 3 at the Arnold. For sure that's a possibility, but I just see it as being sort of the best he could do. I think top 5 at the O is really the scope of placing he's going to be looking at.
You're right though the new guys will take couple years.
But I think Rhoden and Cedric are already there in terms of size. I mean Rhoden already took him once, I personally think Cedric could beat Rhoden, but now that Rhoden is on a roll perhaps not. We'll see though. I think those guys are the two guys to watch this year. I duno what Cutlers intentions are to do with the next Olympia. I think he seems to be quite committed to giving it his best, so he may even let Dennis slip a placing. Victor is too tough to say it's been that long since he's done a show now. I wonder what show he would prep for in attempt to qualify for the O.
Look he's not done. He needs to make some relatively drastic improvements is all, I think most people agree on that and agree it's unlikely he can make them.
His conditioning + coming in full is a big thing though, which he is more than capable of pulling off.
Essay over.
