Hey guys
I want to keep this short and simple.
For years I have been on and off with training, staying motivated
For 1-2 weeks, 3 tops. Then go right back to where i started. I have a problem with motivation. How do you guys stay motivated on a daily basis? What keeps that fire lit.

Because I used to be fat and didn't like what I seen in the mirror. I didn't like wearing a size 40 jeans. I wanted my wife to want to fuark me everytime I took my shirt off. I wanted to set an example for my daughter on how to live healthy. Chit like that. What do you want to get out of working out????????

It varies from person to person. What do you want to accomplish? From there you can figure out what would work best for you. If its a matter of wanting to see a difference in the mirror, then take pictures every couple of months to be able to see your progression. But since you mentioned that you typically stick with a routine for a couple weeks, create a reward system for yourself. I've known people that would only let themselves go to the movies if they worked out 3-4 times a week for a month.
For me, I have a motivational poster on the desktop of my laptop so that I can see it everyday. You have to find something that matters enough to you to keep you motivated.

Simple.....
You say you keep trying then give up. Imagine you didnt give up, the results you would of had by now. You always end up going back and pushing for it. Workin out has just gradually grew into my lifestyle now. I push myself to keep going because of the many times
Ive quit before. I would think back and remember 4 years ago, that if i Pushed myself since then, i would of been at where i want to be today.
Do it for yourself, not for others. Push to make a change in your life, for the better.

As many others have stated in here, set goals. Everyone can reach any goal they set for themselves, the real question is if you actually want it or not. You want it bad enough? Then absolutely NOTHING is going to stop you from hitting the gym hard. You should be hitting the gym harder than you want to hit a person that just slapped your mother. We all start somewhere, either train like an animal that can't be stopped or feel sorry for yourself. Drive yourself, and good luck on your goals.
Alpha as Phuck, nothing is going to stop me.

Simply put, find your "why". Once you find that, put it on paper, post-it notes, and put them everywhere so the reminder is staring you in the face and you have no choice but to remember it. I've been learning, too. It's not easy, but you have to push yourself. Hold yourself accountable. Don't look for people to guide you, you need to do this for you! Otherwise, you will never get where you want to be.
There is no such thing as "I can't."
There is, however, such a thing as "I won't."
Accountability over Excuses...
