I am looking to start staying lean all year. I am getting older and it's harder to stay lean vs bulking and putting in to much fat then harder to take off. If I could do all over again I would just stay lean all the time. Any diet help would be great. Currently lifting 3x a week and doing cardio 3x considering added after lifting also. I work out late due to work schedule. May do IF or carb cycling. Any suggestions.

Look solid man, ready to cut IMO
I strongly recommend IF
have done IF for about 4 months, since 7/23/12 when I made the decision to start intermittent fasting leangains style after taking days to read over Martin Berkhan's website. I apoligize for not being able to show you before pics (I did not take any out of embarrassment/disgust b/c I used to be 130lb xc runner with very low bf%) but I gained a lot of weight (virtually all fat) a year ago to my heaviest at 197lbs. Then I found IF...... followed Leangains style and loved it - it is now a way of life for me.
You can look at my photo gallery for a most recent pic, but I now weigh ~155lbs.
BTW squat and deadlift went up by about 40lbs since I started training fasted and I now do weighted chins/dips instead of barely repping body weight.
I strongly recommend all aspects to Leangains IF approach ("diet", training, and supplements) except I included cardio which Martin does not advocate while in a caloric defecit.
Anway, you do not have to IF to cut, but IMO it is the best way to "cut" or "bulk"Last edited by SA1705; 12-04-2012 at 10:36 AM.
