The bar/club I worked pretty much only ever had 19-25 year olds on a friday, saturday night and I saw a total of 3 fights and never saw a bouncer get into one. We would just talk most people out of the place and if they got rowdy we would just grab them and toss them. Not a single fist was ever thrown.

Just have to be confident, good at talking, and if you like/are good at fighting, well bonus. Id recommend it, but I get $35 an hour cash in hand.

I'm almost gonna call bull**** on $35 an hour, or maybe I'm working in the wrong state, even when I was up the cross guys on avg were getting $25-30 cash

Most famous person I tossed out was a CFL player.. my manager and bouncer buddies were like fuarrk. Choked his ass out cause he was pushing around a way smaller guy and was causing a lot of trouble. Love the weekend bouncing. Hot girls, good music, good buddies and a lot of sh*t talking and messing around. All around good extra side job. Best feeling is walking through the city at 3am to your car.. its just so quiet and calm. Nothing but you and the city lights.

That's funny - we generally had troubles with the CFLers as well - lots of ego, but no real money. NHLers were cool as ****.

For the people doubting OP, bouncers WILL get physical with you and aren't afraid at all to use unnecessary force - I've had many shirts ripped just from bouncers who decide to let off some steam
