What you'll need:
real butter - no substitutions here
bread
decent cheese (I like costco's blocks of tilamook mild cheddar)
skillet
spatula
Optional stuff:
dry parsley
garlic powder
onion powder
cracked pepper
chili powders
etc
Grate a couple handfuls of cheese. Mix dry spices and herbs with the cheese if you want to use those. Couple pinches of each will do.
Add butter to hot skillet and lightly grill both sides.
Remove sandwich and sprinkle some ****ing cheese on the skillet. Add sandwich on top. Repeat on the other side.
End result is an extra crispy grilled cheese sandwich with cheese crust. Chug a protein shake or down some milk for proteins.
Lighting makes all the difference. Here's one I cooked a couple weeks ago.
Good luck gaining weight if you're eating brown rice, chicken breast, and broccoli with a raging metabolism. I'm all for eating mostly wholesome foods, but adding dense calorie items as a snack is an easy way to sneak in calories.
If you want extra protein, go croque monsieur style.

That was my grandfather's skillet, and it's twice my age. Macros? Tailor it to your needs. Lightly brush melted butter on the bread (say 1/4 tbsp total) and use less cheese. I'm not counting macros these days. All I know is that I need to eat more since the scale is dropping. Balance the macros by downing a protein shake afterwards.
