I went from 350 all the way down to 160 and I still had loose skin but it wasn't that bad. What I can tell you was it is a million times better than being fat. There are a lucky few that seem to have very little loose skin even after losing 100-200 lbs. But those are rare. Perhaps you're one of them, you won't know until you try it. As far as I know, there isn't a scientifically accepted way of minimizing loose skin. Your body is either going to absorb it or not. At my heaviest i'm pretty sure my chest was like a B cup. There is very little loose skin there, if any, and it would be hard to tell I was ever obese from looking at just my chest. My stomach is a different story, but there's still plenty of fat to lose there. And who knows what cosmetic procedures might sprout up or improve in the time it takes you to lose the weight? Don't make your decisions based on loose skin, because you are going to look better without the fat, regardless of skin. I'm fairly certain my "after" is a lot more appealing than my before.

Anyways thanks
I am a female and agree with what this person told you. If u really think skin tightening treatseants will work, your looking for excuses. Trying to melt away all that fat in your stomach dumb since I know all your isn't just in yyour stomach. You looking for some one to agree with you and say yes, you won't have sagging skin, you will be tight in under a year. Not going to happen being so overweight. I could suggest programs to help you get that initial weight off, but your not ready. Your swimming in pity and looking for others to join you. It's ok, but this site prob won't give you much. You really won't know abt loose body fat around your abs till u start losing (its clea4 your not concerned about the other areas) weight and see. But I agree cardio and weights will help.
And before you try to say I don't understand, I WAS 199, wore size 16 clothes, even larger dresses, and
43% bf when I started in Aug, and with the gym andmedifast, I am now 173 and 35% bf, size 10/12 pants. I am working to lose bf as well. I changed my diet and can eat right without m/f. Oh, I also have a medical condition that makes losing weight slower and harder.
Now if your ready to take the lifelines that are being given to you to get out your pity pool, great, otherwise your going to just make yourself upset at what folks are saying.

I think he means AFTER YO7 LOOSE WEIGHT. there is no huge scar. They can go in and suck that last bit out. But I agree, and so will a doctor, loose weight then come back. And the scar is in your bikini line if u just get it all cut. No one sees that but you and your partner.

Haven't read the whole 3 pages so sorry if posting the same things as others.
OP just stop. Stop overthinking. Stop worrying about later. Stop the excuses. Right now, go in this site http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm
Cut 25-30% of that number. That's how much you will be eating.
Then register here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/
Track everything and make sure you eat the number you calculated before.
Try to eat mostly unprocessed foods to keep you from being hungry. Drink tons of water.
Go to gym. Lift weights as harder as you can.
Incorporate some cardio, but not too much, it will make you hungry.
Week after week, month after month, you will not be unhappy anymore. You will get there and enjoy every day of trying to get there because every day you will look better and be a step closer to your ultimate goal.
Now for the loose skin: It is possible to get rid of it. If you lift weights (as heavier as you can stand) all along and drink plenty of water the loose skin will be less than you think. As for what will remain at near your goal weight, you can take a diet break (couple of weeks eating at maintenance) and then continue dieting and lifting until it goes away. It takes months, but it happens. If you search on the internet for transformations or if you look at transformation photos at this site, you will see that lots of people were as obese as you are and eventually reached their goals without. or at least not much loose skin. You can do it too. Just start now. Good luck!
Tie your life to a goal, not people or things.

I knew what unhappy girl meant but I think I understand the others concerns. Like if you lose the weight too slow you might give up and not finish losing the weight and re gain it all or something to that effect.

Please dont dont tell me I dont have to worry about it because in August I will be undergoing a full body lift to have all of my excess skin removed and I couldnt be more excited! Its a reward to myself for all of the sweat, stress, tears and determination that went i.to losing the weight.
Yes I DO get it. I have BEEN there and I came out healthy and happier than ive ever been.

Geesh!
No wonder the males here hate women, that chick was crazy. I have 2 medical problems that make weight loss hard; a slow thyroid and PCOS and I get so tired of hearing people use that as an excuse. If you're not being treated for it, don't complain about it! Thyroid meds work wonders. I'm down almost 50lbs in 12 months. Sure I don't want lots of loose skin either but if I'm healthy and in shape who cares about something so trivial. How can someone that obese be that vain?
You are confusing my willingness to explain with an invitation to debate.

I'm currently cutting also from like 295lbs and I do "worry" about loose skin. However the way I look at it is if I hate the loose skin soooo much I can't live with it and I don't want surgery, I can always get fat again and tighten that skin right up!

Dear unhappy girl,
I never post on these boards and I mean ever but after reading your story and the responses I felt I had to. When I first began working out I too was severely overweight, I was 18 5'6 250. Eeryone aroun including myself said l, I don't even think you that big or what have, it got to the point (the point your currently at) where isaid enough is enough. I began working out and eating differently, and even tho I was being very bro ish about how I went about it, my attitude about myself changed and I think ultimately that's what really helped me et results. After I learned how to eat an weight train properly and ditched all the get skinny quick ideas I had I found that it wasn't so hard to get the weight off and keep it off. I currently struggle with the "loose skin" thing. The funny thing is is that no matter how lean you get the loose skin will never go away to you because it's all in your mind, try not to think about, I have virtually no loose skin at all and still when I look in the mirror I grab my skin. Please pm I will help you. The path of 1000 miles starts with a single step please use your will power be strong and take that step an dont look bak
Sometimes you gotta bust a** and lift heavy weight.
Other times you gotta bust a** and make light weight heavy.

I really didn't want to reply to this thread but I gave in.
OP, why don't you just stay morbidly obese? That way you won't have to worry about "loose skin".
