Hi guys
I'm currently thinking about changing my current program to something like this, which is basically the same but chest, arms and shoulders twice a week. What do you think about the program? Basically my main question is towards the recovery time needed, does it look like my muscles gets enough rest until the next workout? Maybe i need to alternate my exercises more, if so, which ones do u suggest? Is a rest day really needed?
Weekly routine:
Monday - Chest/Biceps
4-5 sets of dumbell press
4 sets of bench press
4 sets of bicep curls
4 sets of incline bench press
3-4 sets of cable crossovers
Tuesday - Shoulders/Triceps
4 sets of close grip bench press
4 sets of skullcrushers
4 sets of shoulder press
4 sets of pulldowns
3 sets of military press/push press
Wednesday - Back
4 sets of deadlifts
4 sets of pulldowns
4 sets of pullups
4 sets of weighted hyperextensions
4 sets of dumbell rows
Thursday - Legs/Calves
4-5 sets of squats
4 sets of leg extensions
4 sets of leg curls
4 sets of leg press
4 sets of calf raises
Friday - Chest/Biceps (same program as monday)
Saturday - Shoulder/Triceps (same program as tuesday)
Sunday - Back (Depending on how i feel, i usually have sunday as a rest day, but let's see how this goes)
