So you are ALL READY FOR CHRISTMAS, or ARE YOU?
What are you going to EAT or what are you NOT going to eat? How MUCH are you going to eat? Are there ANY LIMITS? How MANY MEALS will you eat? Will you STARVE yourself BEFORE that big meal so you can STUFF yourself later? Have you PLANNED your success? Are you PLANNING your failure? Is it WORTH IT? Will you exercise AT ALL?
You already KNOW the value of SCHEDULED CHEAT MEALS and that they are a way of REWARDING YOURSELF for all the hard work you put in the MAJORITY of the time. You also know that cheat meals are PLANNED in advance, and NOT made on spur of the moment EMOTIONAL decisions. With this in mind, hopefully, you have SCHEDULED Christmas Dinner as one of your SCHEDULED cheat meals for the week or as a SCHEDULED cheat day, depending on your goals and level of commitment.
After all, CHRISTMAS is a CELEBRATION! It is a CELEBRATION of LIFE and the LIFE that has been given to us through the birth of Jesus Christ and it is THE BIGGEST celebration we could EVER have so ENJOY IT and THANK GOD FOR IT!! I am here to HELP YOU make the most of that Celebration; to help you celebrate YOUR HEALTH, and celebrate THE BODY that you have been BLESSED with (a.k.a God’s temple!!)
Let the CELEBRATION BEGIN and let’s ANSWER SOME OF THESE QUESTIONS!
Will you STARVE yourself BEFORE that big meal so that you can STUFF yourself later? The answer to this should be NO! You should NEVER starve yourself in preparation for ANY meal. When you do this, you are SETTING YOURSELF UP to overeat and SETTING YOURSELF UP for FAILURE! PLAN your success and PLAN to stick to you scheduled meal timing LEADING UP TO and AFTER that Holiday meal. By sticking to your typical eating SCHEDULE as much as possible, you AVOID getting SO HUNGRY that you make POOR CHOICES.
THERE WILL BE OTHER CHEAT MEALS!! You DON’T have to eat it all TODAY! Instead of STUFFING YOURSELF, consider eating MODERATELY and just eat those foods you LOVE instead of eating EVERYTHING on the table. If you are full, but there is still food you want to try, remember, YOU DON’T HAVE TO EAT IT ALL TODAY!! Instead, take a few things home with you to FREEZE for your next SCHEDULED CHEAT MEAL.
EVER NOTICE HOW YOU FEEL on Holidays? A bit LETHARGIC? Ever ask yourself WHY? Maybe the foods that TASTE good AREN’T SO GOOD FOR YOU! What about RESTING? Does resting always make you feel MORE RESTED? Do you want to FEEL better? CONGRATULATIONS! YOU’VE JUST DISCOVERED HOW! The better you EAT; the better you FEEL! The more you MOVE; the MORE you’ll FEEL LIKE MOVING! So consider a little cardiovascular activity on Holidays too. Chances are, you have a BIT of time in your schedule either BEFORE or AFTER that big meal and can fit it in. You’ll be PROUD of yourself and FEEL better too!
