I can't believe all these replies.
Pretty obvious OP is making it up, 100% srs.
College students and professors aren't shallow. I've taken gender and social courses and I said far worse things on feminism in a class full of women with only 1 other guy.PhD in Hairloss bro-science

Wouldn't even be worried, just go with (on average):
- Males have more test, ergo women develop less muscle and are smaller in stature.
- Many animal societies exhibit behavior of targeting those which are physically weaker both in prey and their own societies.
- You felt that it was a valid point which could be debated and should you be incorrect then you would have appreciated the information and learned from your mistake, however instead of any factual evidence being presented you were removed from the class and have been worried about getting in trouble.
- You didn't intend to cause offense and if needed you can cite scientific evidence for why you had your opinion, you're concerned about the inability to speak freely within class as instead of being educated you're being punished.
Would legit lay it out like that, from how you described it you didn't sound like you were being a jerk or insulting (if you were then probably deserve to be where you are now) and try not to get on Profs bad side forever but say that you should be corrected not punished for trying to have a discussion.Current ShareBlue earnings: $103,587.99

OP what kind of school do you go to where you have professors like this? Herp Derp University? This isn't a matter of opinion, it's a well-known and confirmed fact that biologically, men are created physically superior to women. C'mon now

Whether your'e right or not OP is not the question here. It's class setting where you should be allowed to discuss different ideas. It's called a University for a reason. You were expressing your opinion, plain and simple. If anything happens to your scholarship then you go to a really ****ed up school.

tempted to neg, no he shouldn't apologize, he had the right answer.... men will pick on women because they are weaker, there's no reprecussions, as advanced as we've become, pain is still our ultimate consequence, and you know if you bully a man there's a chance he might blast u in the fing face

regardless of gender, the "weaker" are always the ones who are harassed. Take a look at elementary/middle schools, for example. In cases of bullying, the stronger/bigger kids are never the ones getting bullied - it's the smaller/weaker ones. The same applies to the work place. The weaker ones, the females, may be the ones getting harassed. Women ARE, as you said, on average, the physically weaker ones. Lol if your teacher tries to argue that.

I'm going to answer this statement as well as Snerf's in a single post, since you both mention biology (with Snerf drawing the comparison to the playground). First, biology would provide a physical advantage for men to harass/abuse women in a situation where there were no consequences, because women are at a distinct disadvantage to men, generally. This is of course also true for larger children bullying smaller children on the playground. However, the question wasn't, "why could men harass/abuse women in the workplace" but "why are women more frequently abused". Since we live in a society where physical violence and verbal harassment are punished, the question becomes, why does it happen anyway? The answer is because of societal views regarding women (this is the same reason why a girl the OP has banged is apparently a "sloot"), and small group interactions where one individual is "different" from the rest. If the answer was simply "because men are stronger than women", then all males would constantly harass all females at all times, which isn't the case.
With regards to the doubling of sexual harassment charges, I'm not surprised at all. The laws have to be written in such a way as to be both open to interpretation and very loose to allow for a wide variety of unexpected individual cases, and they have to be gender neutral. If you can get a huge pile of scratch because your boss wears a dress and told you that you look nice in your suit the other day,(or vice versa for that matter) the only thing stopping you from taking advantage is moral responsibility, and in this economy, no one can really afford that.

It's plain and simple OP. She asked if anyone could "guess" why. You "guessed". You can't help it that she didn't like your answer.
You should turn the tables on her when you go to the meeting. Say that you took offence to her "guessing" that wemon are more harrassed than men. Tell them it seemed like she was implying that men "fill in blank".
Trust me, they'll take it a lot more seriously if you claim harrassment and say she's a sexist teacher..

"The general trend is for boys both to bully and be bullied more than girls. Victims report that about 65% of bullying is perpetrated by boys, 15% by girls, and 19% by boys and girls (Boulton & Underwood, 1992). In a recent Olweus (1991a) study, more than 60% of girls bullied in grades 5-7 were bullied by boys only and an additional 15 to 20% were bullied by both boys and girls. More than 80% of victimized boys are bullied by boys. The type of bullying varies according to gender as well. Boy bullies are three to four times more likely to inflict physical assaults than girl bullies (Eron, Huesmann, Dubow, Romanoff, & Yamel, 1987), whereas girls use more ridicule and teasing (Hoover, Oliver, & Hazler, 1992). Olweus has labeled open attacks as direct bullying and social isolation and exclusion from the group as indirect bullying." (Batsche & Knoff, 1994)
"Men typically saw victims as weak and incompetent. In contrast, women seemed to emphasize the personality of the perpetrator and group dynamics. Women tended to see tyrannical aggressors or to explain bullying in terms of a scapegoat phenomenon" (Salin, 2005)
Supports your theory, assuming this pattern transferred to the work place.
"co-worker bullying has been found to be more prevalent among women than among men" and "Several studies have found that men and women perceive themselves as being bullied equally often (Einarsen & Skogstad 1996, Hoel & Cooper 2000, Keashly et al. 1994, Kivimki, Elovainio & Vahtera 2000, Leymann 1992a, Piirainen et al. 2000, Quine 1999, Vartia 1991)" (Vartia-Vaananen, 2003)
The question wasn't even valid, like previous poster said.

Interestingly enough, this study shows that women are harassed more in environments where they aren't different. In other words, gender-equal environments yield more harassment towards women than environments where women are the minority. At least, in this study: http://researchnews.osu.edu/archive/sexharass.htm
Regarding your statement that "males would constantly harass females" if physical strength were a factor, I get what you're saying, but the argument that could be made is that the very reason patriarchy is so successful is because of the psychological and physiological responses to biology that reaffirms the social conditioning. Nature meets nurture. There are currently some shadowy connections being made in fields like evolutionary psychology about this, but I don't think there is enough room to say anything substantial. OP's response is not an answer I would give, but I think it's wrong to think what OP said is insanely ignorant.

sounds like this could possibly be a roll bread. if it's not, then this is one of those cases where trolling in regards to men vs women should be left on the internets where your anonymity is intact. better lawyer up before going to that meeting.
