Had my Forester for 18 months now. No complaints at all. Unfortunately haven't had snow to test it in like that which looks like a lot of fun but it handles extremely well in the wet, on gravel, etc.

I've seen a few over here and they definitely look capable. I think the main criticism in reviews was visibility.

My father in law drives one. Actually, let me rephrase that. It sits in his garage while he drives something smaller. The Hummer guzzles a lot of fuel, is a PITA to park with spaces continuing to shrink, and since they went bust a couple of years ago parts/servicing = expensive.
