+ unrelated: Any thoughts on doing a semi-full body routine 5 days a week? I think I am gonna try it. 6 exercises per day:
- Squats
- Leg extensions
- Leg curls
- Low rows alternating with high rows and wide grip pullups
- Incline presses alternating with shoulders and flat presses
- Curls
What am I missing here? Abs +?

Would it pwn on stage if it dieted down?
Only in commercials.
I hardly watch regular tv anymore, but that is awesome.
You liked it because it is an awesome movie, f*ck ass.
Well they even said in the movie it wasn't fully tested and shouldn't be brought online yet.
I thought it was good.
On an aside, I was recognized for a small inter-divisional award/recognition. My division head (who gave it to me) even made the statement "Charlie Parker, I never thought I'd give you one of these but..." and he made mention about how things were with me early into my time with the company. Most people probably thought he was just making a passing joke with the first part (that is his style), but my reputation in the company was shaky at the tail end of my time in Iraq after my then-boss and I had issues.
Also found out Rome, NY is moving along quite nicely and I've been "pegged" as the guy who will be going there, which is good since it is now "official" from the Division Head on down, instead of just talks amongst middle management and still having the possibility of assing me out of the spot. I've (my position) has been officially extended in Germany until the end of March. My boss is saying I won't be there that long at all.-

They signed the law like a year ago and I thought it was vaporware or something, but apparently it's actually happening. I don't always watch TV but when I do I like to drink, er, not get my ears blasted by the fact that they intentionally turn the main programming down by several decibels.

This is the evil little sh.it that bit me yesterday. I stopped recording soon after starting because I decided that I needed both hands and no distractions to keep it from happening again (without breaking the little **** in half)

I was under the impression the volume doesn't change but they use compression so the entire commercial is equal to the peak volume of the TV show.

I'll let my wife know you're after bikini pics.

Those your dogs or just a customer's?
But yeah, I like those dogs. Any dog that isn't overly noisy and is like "So here's the deal, I'm going to sit here next to you and be quiet. You're going to sit there, shut up, and not stop petting me. Good? Great!" are my favorite types of dogs.-

I dunno, I mean that's probably one of their tricks, but you don't want to use compression on the sound of high quality commercials or it would definitely screw up the whole thing. Not saying it's a high quality commercial per se, but the latest Apple iPhone commercial where they talk about the noise cancellation feature is a good example: they turn down the sound of the orchestra, which says to me it's not using compression, at least not hugely. I honestly think they screw with the decibel levels. Might be wrong.

Good evening. Anyone heard about this woman who got beat up severely by her boyfriend? She posted a public photo of her in her hospital bed on her now-ex-boyfriend's FB page in Liberty, Missouri?

“The peak levels of commercials are no higher than the peak levels of program content. But the average level is way, way higher, and that’s the level your ears care about. If someone sets off a camera flash every now and then it’s one thing; if they aim a steady spot light into your eyes it’s another, even if the peak brightness is no higher.”
Obama's 'CALM Act' sounds all warm and fuzzy but it doesn't say much at all.
I think they need to be very clear about it and stipulate that the average level of the commercial (which we know is heavily compressed) should be equal to the average volume of the TV show.
So if we're watching sport where the average volume is perceived to be quite loud then it's not big deal for a similarly loud commercial to play after it. But if the show has reasonably low levels with only a few peaks, then the commercial's average volume needs to be pulled back to match this.

Yes.
The way I've always understood it was that the peak volume level from the show was the maximum the commercial could be. So you take the 3 second explosion/action sequence from the show and make the commercial that loud all the time.

The one I cannot stand and makes me puke in my mouth a little when I see her is Nancy Grace.
