Seems right up your alley

Excerpt
"In America a saying developed sometime in the 19th century along the lines of “God made man, but Sam Colt made them equal.” This referred to a simple truth: A weak, old, or sick person could kill the biggest, strongest, best trained dude in the world if equipped with one of Col. Colt’s products. That’s genuine equality. Someone who would have otherwise been at the complete mercy of the strong man now had an effective tool which put the strong man in mortal peril if he attempted to infringe upon the rights of the weak."

I haven't had good breakfast in years.
I'm talking about a nice, hearty, sit-down breakfast you can have hours of conversation over. Pancakes, eggs of different variety, different meats up the wazoo. Something sweet, something salty. Something healthy, something naughty. Freshly squeezed, crisp, orange juice. Delicious hot coffee with that sweet aroma which permeates the surroundings.
I find that the disposition of the people and the conversations you have are different over breakfast. As it's the beginning of the day, the collective outlook is optimistic, people are cheerier, and as it is breakfast, it's all without the aid of alcohol.
I just want some good breakfast lately and people I can enjoy it with.
Nothing more.

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you? It's like you want us to fight. That's not breakfast. That's fast food disguised as morning food. I'm talking about the kind of breakfast that the traditional farmer has on this table on a weekend. Where it looks like Thanksgiving table of breakfast foods. And where you HAVE to sit down and FINISH the damn thing. If it's not finished we keep the conversation going until it's over.
My generation is losing the concept of sitting down and enjoying each other's company.
I regret this.

I went to IHop on New Year's Day for brunch. Big Steak omelette with a stack of pancakes.
I refuse to go to McD's as of late. I don't know what's with them, but their Frappes upset my stomach something fierce. And their fries (least the ones I've been to) were salty as hell, might as well get a salt lick.

Glad to see the gun argument has been rekindled. So much was accomplished in the previous conversations.

I'm taking my friends here on Thursday morning.
http://www.eggspectation.com/
All of them puzzingly asked me the question "...breakfast?"
I was like yeah, asslords, breakfast. We're gonna sit down, strap in, and talk and bond with each other like humans have done so for centuries.

I go to Cracker Barrel for that, but usually not in the actual morning. Momma's pancake breakfast. I just like my pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs.
I'd almost always opt to get a little more sleep than do the big breakfast thing, unless we're on vacation with the family and eat a huge breakfast at like 10. That's nice

As someone who consumes a fair share of fast food I'll be the first to admit McDonald's is utter scheiß and Farley must have typed that after being on diaper duty and not eating all day. I'll grab breakfast from there when I'm on the run / starving.
Nothing beats a proper big breakfast with ingredients sourced fresh from a local farm.

We had Greek omelets for me, regular scrambled for M today. Bacon, biscuits and home made sausage. All made with double yolk jumbo eggs off the farm.

Yeah the type of breakfast my grandmother would make when I'd go over to help early on the farm. Fresh made biscuits, homemade sausage gravy, bacon, tenderloin, sausage, eggs in a variety of ways (usually over easy and scrambled), pancakes, a few variety of biscuit toppers (apple butter, variety of homemade jams). Mmmmm yeah!▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #56 ▪█─────█▪

Kvk, I'm with you on breakfast. If we are ever in each others respective necks of the woods, I would be honored to join you for a hearty, early-in-the-day meal.
If you come here we may have to bring darinaldi along, but we can probably still have a good time.

Is sausage gravy the only thing that ever goes with biscuits? How do you do a mix of different egg styles?

Prepare the egg differently...Scrambled eggs, Over Easy Fried Eggs, Omelets, Poached (although we never do poached). There's peppered gravy and red eye gravy.
Also I forgot, typically always have grits...mmm

I fold.
I guess I'll order what Joe Gioto is having. What day is Steak & Eggs served on? They all look like fine meals that could use some protein. Perhaps a whey blend in powdered-sugar form on the waffles.
edit: #2 Looks good, but I'm not the biggest breakfast-sausage fan. There's no rule that says the dog can't play.
