Deadlift question for you brahs. I'm doing my own 5x5. I noticed that with most 5x5 programs, deadlift is only 1x5. Advice on what I should do for deadlifts. Options are: a.) keep doing what I'm doing, which is ramp up and do heavy singles, working up to max
b.) warm up a few sets and do one set of my max 5 rep
c.) warm up a few sets and do another amount of sets of 5 of max?
d.) Go f myself.I remove my shirt to poop crew

I have been doing ort/mag deadlifting ( thanks to manly ) and I have seen a pretty steady improvement over the last month. I definitely was able to break through my plateau and I have been adding 10 lbs to my lift each week.

Hmmmm... All the information I was able to find on the ort/mag style suggested to stop doing squats all together when doing deadlifts and vice versa. I am grateful for the strength gains I have made in my deadlifts, it just feels strange to not do any squats for 3 weeks at a time. Perhaps I should just give it a shot doing them both.

Edit: nvm.
Dammit hola, I see you post and forget which thread I am in sometimes.
It's really bad/confusing when vox goes to the MFC thread.Last edited by Farley1324; 01-02-2013 at 11:53 AM.

Can't sleep right now. They are supposed to come take her for her "do I get to go home now?" bilirubin test at 3, and we still need a shot for mom, discharge teaching, a few other little things.
It takes me longer and longer to wake up and get un-groggy as fuk every time, easier to just stay awake the rest of the afternoon at this point.
And maybe grab a Coke. Only had one so far today
But otherwise good point and sentiment/idea

Trivia info of the day, since I know this was brought up in the Rant awhile back with somebody...I did carry my regular 'daily carry' pistol (a Glock 26) for the entirety of the 3-4 days we've been here and I'm fairly certain nobody else knows (except wife). I was more than ready to dump it in the car if it became a distraction for some strange reason, but all uneventful, just like usual
Biggest downside was wearing my pants/belt and never putting on the sweatpants that I brought.
Thanks. She just left for it.
At night they were pretty good at not interrupting excessively. The nurses (and techs) are on 12 hour shifts from 7-7 and everybody seems to communicate/note-take pretty well, so being interrupted when we were 20 minutes into all three of us resting/sleeping (a rarity) only happened, that I recall, when it had to to keep a certain schedule.
During the day, though...forget about it. The housekeeping lady who did trash and linen bags and stuff like that came in while we were all sleeping today and said she'd try to be quiet. If that was quiet I'd hate to see when she isn't trying for that. Good Lord.

I wanted to take it off, unload it, and put it in my bag...but I'm responsible for maintaining positive control over it at all times. The only way to guarantee that here is to have it attached to me.
