JUST when Rafael Nadal's knee had recovered, a stomach virus has forced the Spaniard to delay his return to tennis by another couple of months.

Nadal announced Friday that he will miss next month's Australian Open and probably won't play again until the end of February, saying he needed time to recover from a stomach virus that already prevented him from making his return at Abu Dhabi this week.

The latest setback comes after being sidelined since June with a knee injury, which forced him out of this year's Olympics and U.S. Open. He had planned to make his return to the ATP tour at the Qatar Open in Doha next month before the Jan. 14-27 Australian Open, but pulled out of both events.

This is getting ridiculous.

Ours just quit working this spring. Slight disassembly indicated that gears were slipping/broken internally.

I bought a new opener at the local Sears and installed it myself. It wasn't very difficult, although if I hadn't had another person to help a little bit a couple of times it would have been a PITA. (gotta hold things in place up there in the ceiling while putting bolts through).

I was able to wire the opener/button into the existing wires, and use the same hardware (frame the opener mounted on, chain, track, etc etc) Those things seem pretty universal. I did have to run the wire for the new sensors (so you don't shut it on your car, hopefully) though.

Actually, mine is ancient. Doesn't even have sensors. It still works, though. The main problem is the coil spring broke.

I could replace the spring myself, but my mom insists it is too dangerous...only for professional repair. and that the whole kit and kaboodle be replaced with new. Motor, hardware and all.
