Well going to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants Saturday and wanted to drink authentic beer with the authentic food. I've had Negra Modelo and at that time was not a fan. I do enjoy Dos Equis though and typically I'm a lager/ale guy. Not a huge fan of dark beers. Should I go for Bohemia?
Here is their beer choices. (probably stick with the Dos Equis Amber in 22oz draft form)
Domestic Draft
16 oz. $3.00
22 oz. $5.00
Miller Lite
Bud Light
Domestic Bottles
$2.95
Miller Lite
Michelob Ultra
Bud Light
Budweiser
Imported Draft
16 oz. $4.00
22 oz. $6.00
Dos Equis Lager
Dos Equis Amber
Import Bottles
$3.75
Corona
Victoria
Dos Equis Lager
Dos Equis Amber
Modelo Especial

Practically every beer in existence is either a lager or ale, lol. While I can appreciate the vibe you're going after, focusing on the "authenticity" of a beer can be a bit misleading.
Most Mexican beers are going to be styled after Euro pale or American adjunct lagers. Some exceptions are the Negra Modelo and Dos Equis Amber.
Bohemia is actually a German styled beer, so if you're going for beer authenticity you may not find it at a Mexican restaurant.

Yeah...I must say I was disappointed when I found their beer menu But hey...the food is fantastic.
BTW I'm sure it's painfully obvious, I'm a beer n00b.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #56 ▪█─────█▪

I don't believe I've gone to a Mexican restaurant in the past several years without ordering a margarita.
They're nectar of the gods.
Sour mix, patron silver, triple sec, a dash of grand mariner on top, rocks, with salt.

I once read a Choose Your Own Adventure book about rally car racing.
Sometimes I cruised to victory; others I drove off a ravine, presumably to my death.Last edited by mjw8204; 12-20-2012 at 05:01 PM.

Watching "The Negotiator" for like the thousandth time.
Definitely in my personal Top 5 all time favorite movies list.
The casting, the acting, the plot, the soundtrack.
Just...fuck.

I remember reading a few of the Choose Your Own Adventure books back in the day. They were pretty entertaining. I also remember some of the Lone Wolf books - they were like the CYOA, except it was more RPG. You had to keep track of stats, fight enemies, and could die at any time.
