The religious argument notwithstanding, there are some people you simply cannot rehabilitate. The mass murderer from yesterday is one of many examples.

Oregon Coast? Yeah it rains a lot there, almost as much as where I lived in Alaska (Yakutat) which is saying a lot. But the Oregon Coast is possibly one of the most beautiful places on Earth too, IMHO, so it balances out

Southwest Washington, just across the border from Portland. It rains even more on the coast. And yes, the Oregon coast is pretty awesome.

Just saw this, thought I'd share:
Morgan Freeman's statement about these random shootings....
"You want to know why. This may sound cynical, but here's why.
It's because of the way the media reports it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are ho
usehold names, but do you know the name of a single victim of Columbine? Disturbed people who would otherwise just off themselves in their basements see the news and want to top it by doing something worse, and going out in a memorable way. Why a grade school? Why children? Because he'll be remembered as a horrible monster, instead of a sad nobody.
CNN's article says that if the body count "holds up", this will rank as the second deadliest shooting behind Virginia Tech, as if statistics somehow make one shooting worse than another. Then they post a video interview of third-graders for all the details of what they saw and heard while the shootings were happening. Fox News has plastered the killer's face on all their reports for hours. Any articles or news stories yet that focus on the victims and ignore the killer's identity? None that I've seen yet. Because they don't sell. So congratulations, sensationalist media, you've just lit the fire for someone to top this and knock off a day care center or a maternity ward next.
You can help by forgetting you ever read this man's name, and remembering the name of at least one victim. You can help by donating to mental health research instead of pointing to gun control as the problem."

I like Morgan Freeman, but he's just plain wrong here. I fixed his quote. I don't know why we insist on blaming the media when it's our own people who enable the media to even exist in the first place. Stop watching Fox News! Stop watching CNN! That's the real fix here. Not blaming them for making something that we choose to watch.
Edit: Beyond that, there's freedom of speech. They're allowed to report the news however they want. Just like we're allowed to vote with our eyes and wallets and force them to stop.

Slow cooked a pork shoulder in a mix of root beer, cinnamon, cayenne pepper and sriracha last night.
After being pulled into pieces, it is currently being cooked into a chili with a volatile blend of crushed red peppers, chili powder, and ghost chili sea salt.
It smells absolutely painful.

Sounds pretty good. Also, I am glad to be nowhere near the same room as you after you eat that.

There's where the new OMEGA J8006 NUTRITION CENTER COMMERCIAL MASTICATING JUICER comes into play!

No foaming, clogging, or heat build-up!
High juice yield; auto pulp-ejection function for continuous juicing!
Whereas most other juicers process at a speed of 1,650 to 15,000rpm, this bad boy does it low and slow, at a steady 80rpms. That means days and nights full of continuous juicing, so hold onto your butts!
