I am not one of those.

I have spent a lot of time in the rough, I know every single issue you stated (i.e. the basics), put my MOLLE to test along with my other gear. I have spent plenty of nights out there; I've had nature humble my ass time and time again.

If my wife ever dies, I even told her that I would go and stay for even more extended periods (longer than normal, i.e. more than a week) out in nature.

I am one of those guys where I will just go out and pretty much become a mountain man; only because I got the experience can I do that.

Let me tell you though-if I can bring someone with me, the better. There is power in numbers, and the biggest thing is the loneliness (humans are by nature social creatures-it's essential to our survival).

I'll let the assumptions slide this time.

Guess so, which adds another reason to my eventual point that he should probably invest in some instructional courses on shooting and surviving. There is a reason they teach that stuff to soldiers and don't just have them figure it out as they go.

I've spent a ****load of time out in the rough, and it would've saved time to not go through trial and error, no doubt about it.

It's a continual learning experience out there; just get with people that have a ****load of experience and learn from them-that also helps.

I'm not some boob, like those on the Bug out show on NatGeo.

I've heard nothing but good things too on DI with the AR, so I'll end up just saving money and going with an LMT Defender 16.

I've suspected this, since supposedly the reason Norinco imports were banned. Is because it also supports the Chinese military. I've wondered if there trying to topple other countrys for their own gain and for a nice friend to be in power while giving us less guns. It's just ironic how the company that just bought marlin like 2 years ago and gutted it. Now wants to sell all its gun companys it owns.

Yea, I'm sure it's corrosive. Plain white boxes with no writing on them, probably came from an open can.
