So I have been doing this kettle bell workout for about 7 weeks now... People around me say they see my body changing, however I don't see it... Mainly in the gut area. Here are one month pics of me. I know my diet isn't as good as it can be... but I am in iraq and food isn't really that great here.
Starting 227lbs
Current 222lbs

Keep at it Eddie, it's happening and like most things picks up momentum as you go. You've just started really. I tell clients and others it's going to be six months before you even begin to really see what you want in the mirror and a full year before you're really there but what's the alternative? Time's gonna pass either way. But it doesn't mean you're not making progress. Listen to those other people, take heart from it.
After that, you may not have total control of your overall diet but I'd bet you probably can still manage it better, no? Make better choices? Gotta take less calories than you're burning each day to shed that fat. Real simple and no two ways about it. You can work out 'til the cows come home but until you lean down it's not going to show the way you want. Go for more protein, less carbs but not no carbs, still need 'em.
BF?: Yeah, I say 25-30%. Sorry but the good news is your young still and reverse that any time you want. See above.
Good luck.Last edited by MarkS51; 12-07-2012 at 09:02 AM. Reason: addition
It's 80% diet, 20% workout and 100% in the mind.
If you can read or carry on a conversation, you ain't working out.
To be different the only thing you have to do is stand fast when the herd moves.
Parking your s**t on a bench ain't the same thing as using it!

Well I always get that I look heavier than I really am... I am almost the same size no matter how much I weigh. For the most part arms, legs and back stay in some form of shape, it is just the gut that grows. Lil skin can be pinched in other areas, gut is a hand full of cupcakes I guess...
Here is a pic of me in 2005 at 215lbs, and I still had gut...
