Hey everyone! I'm Gabrielle. I just found this site and am so excited! I have lost 140lbs so far and have at least 100 more to lose until goal, but I am well on my way! I'm a Zumba instructor, so I have my cardio down, but have been pretty ignorant about lifting. I realize how essential it is to get me where I want to go and I'm so determined. I've shared a few pics of my progress. My heaviest weight was around 430lbs! I've started a plan and I am working towards the lean/toned body I've always wanted!! All of your pics are amazing! Happy to make and surround myself with new fitness focused friends! Any encouragement is greatly appreciated. Has anyone been through such an extreme change such as massive weight loss and toning? Any advice? Thanks.

When I was obese (200 pounds at 16 years old) I got there with all kinds of "junk" food, and doing minimal physical activity, Mountain Dew, cookies, chips, candy, buffalo wings smothered in ranch; all kinds of calorie dense foods. Wouldn't recommend going that way though, for general health reasons more than anything. Just eat some extra peanut butter/nuts, or cook with olive oil, things like that are easier, though cookies and stuff can be added to help fill out calories; after all, everything in moderation.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.
