funny i remember when laptops were just invented and people would take these big ass things in their suitcases and they were the best thing in the world. now they are too big and you need internet on your cellphone and a smaller thing that is just like a laptop.
I wouldn't mind a tablet but they really don't serve much of a purpose.*HTC* crew

that's what they're are doing with the tablets. You can't just use the windows 7 operating system and give it touch screen capabilities; Microsoft has the surface witch sorta looks like a laptop, and it runs windows RT or something. For the ipad, there's an accessory where you can attach a keyboard to the ipad so you can use it like a laptop. Give it time.

Love my tablet. Great for subway commute. Phone screen is too small to watch movies/tv shows, laptop is too delicate + big to take on the trip. $120 was a small price to pay.
lol @ talking about wasting money though. Tons of money is being spent on "supplements" which aren't needed and you don't see results from.Last edited by bigwoody117; 11-27-2012 at 06:02 PM.

i never thought i needed one until i actually got the new ipad
i use a friends info and stream the HBOgo app to my TV so i don't have to pay $15 a month for hbo
i rent my grad school books thru amazon kindle app for a fraction of the price of buying them
i prefer to use certain apps instead of traditional web surfing (bank of america, ebay, craigslist, etc..)
battery life lasts a lot longer then my MBP, i can monitor my fantasy team with the yahoo fantasy football app for an entire sunday on a single charge
bring charts and large spreadsheets into meetings at work so i don't have to undock my computer and transport it
i also travel a good bit for work, this lasts on a single charge thru any flight ive been on

I dont have one yet, but I'll get one in a couple years. Right now I have a laptop, droid 2 and a kindle touch. Got the kindle because I read a sh*tload. They have practical uses though. e.g. Drawing up a flight plan for pilots, use in the court room for 3d demonstrative aids, or serving as a swipe only mobile checkout system.
