Dont get it... why sit at a computer and play games, when you can lay in bed/on the couch, pop a disc in and click A.
Keep seeing these ****s buyin gaming keyboards and mice, seems like a lot of work/hassle to do the same thing i do with my xbox.
edit: i usually play games 70% of the time when my friends are online, w or against em.... most of my friends dont even own a computer these days.

Mods. Add dozens of hours of new content to your games for free.
Steam Sales. Look at the Thanksgiving sale. http://store.steampowered.com/ Christmas and summer sale are 10x that.
Better graphics.
Mouse and keyboard more accurate for FPS. No auto-aim required.
MOBA and MMO games. League of Legends and Guild Wars 2.
Get a good PC and its good for everything. Skyping, doing research for school, etc.Brooks Brothers and Vineyard Vines Crew

I think some games are only on PC too
I haven't played a computer game in years but it's also easier for some people to point & shoot with a mouse rather than using the controller on a console☆ There Ain't No Doubt In My Mind, Country Must Be Country Wide ☆

Hardcore gaming usual refers to anti-casual which on the face of it seems less "fun" and more serious, but overall is much more fun and rewarding once you get into it.
To name just a few differences, the games (or game type inside a casual game) have a steeper learning curve and revolve around skill (dexterity, reflexes, tactics) instead of something trivial to get earn points in like LOL SPAM ROCKETS.
edit: Also some pro gamers do in fact leave the house and have girlfriends

Hardcore meaning, serious, competitive, more advanced, whatever, which could mean staying indoors for days, or not.
On an individual level PC gaming is superior in almost every aspect to consoles the only one being "I can't lie down on my couch"
Consoles are good for casual playing with friends.
My gaming on the PC right now- Dota2, phucking **** up with my team in small tournaments, haven't won much cash yet, around 10 games a week ~8 hours
CSS- Play on a cash server, play about 6 hours a week, usually make about $10-$30 a week just for playing a game I love***Viking crew***

The PC (a good pc) is much more powerful than a console. The keyboard also gives you much better control in any game you are playing. FPS games on PC are way more fun than on xbox/ps3. The precision of the mouse and speed/intensity of the combat is way, way higher.
MMORPGS can only be done with the highest detail on PC because of the processing power needed, the user interface, and the massive amount of hot keys required.Trump 2020
