    Motivation When There Is None.

It is challenging to stay focus and motivated to exercise. I mean, even for a trainer is difficult but we have to practice what we preach and it is part of our job to exercise and stay fit, and sometimes it doesn’t come easy. With family, studies and a split shift, motivation is always lacking on my side but I always pull through. For me, music or motivational videos do the trick when I need to get the work done. Sometimes quotes (which I keep on my clipboard) or bible verses work well, and some days just a plain cup of coffee does the trick.
What about you? What is your way? How do you motivate yourself?

for some people, when picking a routine, the most important part is picking one they will enjoy. No sense in picking a routine you progress at nicely but lose intrest in and stop working out all together.

i just make myself. simple as that. its definitely not easy though..

i tell myself whats the worst that can happen if i do train when i dont feel like it?.. Cry?.. which i know i wont do. but i tell myself ill just have to have tears rolling down my face while i get on with it, if so be it.

not all my sessions are quality sessions. especially lately because ive been really down in the dumps. its very hard to motivate myself but i know its good for me.

i understand that not everyone is like that. so other things i like which i think might help you, is some motivational videos. have a look at this thread that someone over on the Rosstraining boars made. its called 'The Motivation Station' :

    http://www.rosstraining.com/forum/vi...hp?f=1&t=66432

Definitely picks up your mood. Take a look.

My motivation is inherent. Never have I had issues going to the gym. In fact, I look forward to working out.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

At the moment I have my lifting pared down to a science where I lift for like 30 seconds every day rather than doing any kind of big dedicated workout sessions.

As the above poster said, I enjoy working out, it's one of my favorite hobbies, it's too the point that I get pissed if I have to miss a workout and will do it right before bed if necessary to get the workout in. The best motivation will come from coming to a place where you really enjoy lifting.
