Is 4 excercises for triceps too much for a chest / triceps day?

4 direct exercises? yeah
after your pressing movements I'd throw in 2 more, 3 max (no more than 6-8 sets)

I'd replace pushdowns with an overhead tricep extension. That will give you an emphasis on the long head

Skull Crushers that go behind the head will work the long head, but they don't emphasize it. Overhead tricep extensions isolate the long head. Skull Crushers don't.

I usually do 3-4 for most bodyparts so i dont think its really too much unless its using up your energy and leaving you fatigued when you train chest.

They don't 'isolate' a certain part of the tricep. When you do a pushdown or a close grip bench press, you're working all three heads, but the emphasis is places on the lateral head. Overhead extensions place emphasis on the long head. And reverse grip extensions place emphasis on the medial head.
I don't see a lot of people stress the importance of reverse grip extensions, so perhaps for most it is adequately worked by exercises that hit the other heads. What I know is that you should aim to have an overhead extension for your triceps.

Greekmanman - "I'd recommend using what the research suggests is most optimal for the majority of trainees as chances are you fall in line with most. After several months, gauge your progress against what you had been doing before. If you make better progress, great. If not, time to experiment with higher volumes, lower volumes, higher frequencies, lower frequencies etc."

This.
Skullcrushers emphasize the lateral head.
