    Advice on Kickboxing training

Hey guys, I'm starting kickboxing again after christmas an i was trying to design a workout program to do alongside my normal training. I'll be training for Kickboxing twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays and ill be fitting in my weight training Monday Wednesday and Thursday.

    A few questions i have are;

    1. Should i train my legs on my weight training days?

    2. How many rest days should i have?

    3. Should i also be doing cardio after my workouts?

Also if anyone has any exercises they could recommend that i should be focusing on that would be appreciated too.

    Thanks in advance!

All of this is dependent on what you goals are. Whether you want to focus on increasing power, increasing speed, endurance etc etc. Honestly, your best would be going to a site like sherdog.com instead of a bodybuilding site.

I agree it depends on your goals. Cardio is definitely key when doing kickboxing so you can have burst for 60 seconds without being winded.

I do kickboxing competitively so I train alot. Morning and afternoon 5 days a week. Do your weights in the morning and cardio and leave your technique until the afternoon. Don't be afraid to experiment with supplements (aka musclepharm assault pre trainer) and make sure when you rest (Thursday and Sunday) DON'T DO ANY TRAINING!! Rest is damn essential, have those days and be proud of your training throughout the week and rest to go hard more

    Wake up
    Train
    Eat
    Work
    Eat
    Train
    Rest
    Repeat

    Hope it helps!!

Oh and also, don't do cardio after weights, make a session out of one thing and only do that (do weights on weights day no cardio)

And also crossfit as well! You'll thank me when you fight..and look in the mirror in 3 months
