Mind cannot comprehend why.
Why not just learn to count the calories and ballpark macros in your head? Saves 30 minutes a day and plus it doesnt feel like a chore anymore.

30 minutes? Closer to 3 minutes in reality. And if you happen to be on the internet anyway, it's not necessarily a chore.

3 minutes? Maybe if you enter it all at once. If you enter it all at once either
1. You already have an idea of the calories/macros, in which case you dont need the computer
2. You have no idea of the macros/calories, in which case you have no real direction going forward and the log you're keeping online is pretty random.

I do.
I have a pretty good idea but it varies depending on what snacks I consume throughout the day. When ballparking it can be easy to lose 1-200 calories, which realistically isn't going to make much difference, but I just feel more in control when I log accurately.
And as I said, if you happen to be on the internet anyway, it's not necessarily a chore.Sports Science & Health Undergraduate

Yea i have my own spreadsheet on my computer ..ill post a screen grab when i get back home.
I put in what i want to eat for the day ..which only takes 5ish min depnding on how decisive i am on what im in the mood for.. Make sure it hits my protein and fat minimums then just count cals from there ...rather simple really. Is wine not an essential macro?

when striving to be precise, i'll look up the nutrition facts of a food and do my own calculations
but when dirty bulking, mental math & estimated nutritional value is good enoughThe muscles i value most are the ones directly surrounding the spine, the hips, the scapula, the femur and the tibia... in that order.
Basically the whole body minus chest and biceps... pretty much the opposite of what your local gym looks like on a typical Monday.

You don't get competition shredded using "ballpark figures"
Besides, it takes less than a minute to put in a meal I've just eaten. Memorising would be even more hassleWe have enslaved the rest of the animal creation, and have treated our distant cousins in fur and feathers so badly that beyond doubt, if they were able to formulate a religion, they would depict the Devil in human form.

Seriously laughing my gay ass off at 30 mins. Maybe it took like 15 min/day the first week I started my spreadsheet over a year ago. Now it's a mindless minute a day of some copy/pastes. It doesnt hurt that I normally eat the same things.

first thing in the morning, cook a **** load of food (usually pasta, rice and some form of meat and peanut butter or nuts for fats) (20-30 mins)
Grab a peice of paper, a pen and food scales
bodyweight in grams of protein x 4 for calories
fats .45 x llb of bodyweight x 9 for calories
whatever calories are left divide by 4 for grams of carbs....
3-5 mins max
shove said food into containers for the day, and whatever food is left over goes towards tomorrows food.
easy

I personally don't care for tracking. I don't find it necessary unless you're going into competition and having to lower your calories even more during the final weeks of your cut, which I've seen some do. Especially unnecessary for those who eat the same foods everyday and already know how much of everything they're getting. Tracking is a pain in the ass imo. I prefer not to be so anal about calories and going over although I may track for the first few weeks of my cut just to get a feel of what foods fit my macros nomsayin

I think everyone is grossly underestimating how long it takes. Opening up your phone and browsing through apps counts as time, not only the time you spend in the app.
Why can't I get "shredded" counting in my head?
If you wanna resort to ad hominems for no reason.... you have been here for 2 years and still havent gotten rid of that gut or look like you lift. And you're probably pretty weak too.
I win the ad hominem I think.
