Can foods taste good during a cut?

    Honest question.

I'm currently cutting at 1,800 calories a day. Been having a lot of chicken breast + broccoli, or dory fillets + broccoli, and managing to hit my macros decently.
Lately I've been having a bit more... iffy foods. Things like peanut butter and white bread, and some meat with a curry sauce. I still count my calories accordingly, and always manage to fall under target by 50 calories or so, with my macros looking alright.

My question is, will this do any damage in the long run?
I'm looking for results, and while I've dropped 2.5kg's lately, I'm wondering how badly my results will be affected by "good tasting foods".

Just because something tastes good doesn't mean it's bad for you. Who said you have to stop enjoying foods? You just have to eat sensibly! If anything, I think it would help to keep you sane. If you're talking about cholesterol, blood pressure, damage to arteries, etc., that's another story.

P.S. You might get better results in the Nutrition section

There is no good or bad food, just make sure you hit your macros. Other than that feel free to eat anything.
Only reason to avoid certain food is if they make you hungry, easy carbs etc. makes some feel less full and more hungry, hence more urge for cravings/binge. But its all diffrent for everyone.
Just stay in a deficit while hitting macros and everything else dont matter much.

The only thing with foods like that is that they are more calorie dense. This is only a problem is you are struggling with hunger though and if you do start to struggle you may want to switch back to the bro foods. It wont affect body composition.

A lot of low calorie, healthy foods taste good in my opinion. It's just that we crave the extremely fattening, which taste a whole ton better

Foods aren't fattening, over eating is fattening.
