Fitness Avenue has one for $119. It functions well but the sleeves are not the correct measurements for most power racks. But if you don't utilize a rack, you won't notice the difference. Or you can just use another pair of collars to keep the plates where you need that, that's what I do.

The Swiss bar at Fitness Avenue is still advertised at $99 for their Black Friday sale at the moment.
any of u brahs know where I can get an extremely cheap trap bar? Shipping is a bitch so if any of u TO bros know a place where could pick up instead would be sweet.

None of their speciality bars are rackable...
I would spend a bit more and get one that will meet your current...and future needs.
Wow my neighbor across the street gave me what looks to me a miniature version of a "swiss bar", I had never heard of these until now. I had this bar sitting along with my workout equipment for a few months now collecting dust as I didn't really know what it was. I am assuming now that it is just a miniature version of what you linked as it only has two parallel bars and is much smaller.
I wouldn't buy a swiss bar that isn't rackable. Sure, you could use it for skull crushers and curls, but I use mine mostly for overhead and bench pressing. I had a similar bar before that wasn't rackable, and it was a pain in the a@@ to get it in position with any substantial weight on it. Being able to set it up in the rack is just so much better.
Trap bars aren't as big of a deal, though a rackable one is nicer to use. You could use a smaller one and sit the plates on boxes or stacked plates, which is what I did when my lower back was too wasted to take it from the floor for shrugs.

Noooo!!!! Buy the bells of steel one at least! You just bought an unrackable Swiss bar, its useless (as a Swiss) I've held this bar in my hands. It's not what it seems. Cancel before it ships. Trust me. You just bought a $30 chinese tricep bar for $99. I'm not trying to knock your purchase, it looks good online and they market well. I was fooled by them once too.
Fitness ave sells junk. The worse of the worst.
They will battle you like hell when you try to return. In fact, I bet you can't return it.

Too late...the thing has shipped already. Oh well. If it sucks I will write a terrible review and send them a terse email.
Thanks for the warning though. I won't keep my hopes up.

Haha... Awesome! At least they ship quick I guess.
The bells of steel bar is also an import but Kevin actually went to China to see the process and test the bars. His bar is rackable and of good (yet Chinese) quality. I've used his bars to supply gyms that required specialty bars. They have held up well.
Looking forward to see what shows up.

I apologize for pointing you in the direction of Fitness Avenue if all the bad experiences prove to be true in your case as well. I just noticed the lower price...

I generally don't use the swiss bar for any rack exercises but that is definitely a less than ideal quality for a lot of users out there. I bought the swiss bar as a substitute for strongman style "log" lifts, which has worked out pretty well for me. I'd definitely agree that spending more money to get the right product for you is the way people should go.

Fitness Avenue uses pictures often from Treadmill Factory's website. For those who don't know, they are not affiliated in any way.
I've bought some stuff from Fitness Avenue and have not been disatisfied. I bought plyo boxes, battle rope, and chains. Granted these are items that are pretty standard wherever you go, but I did get them cheaper at FA. I don't think I'd ever buy a power rack, bench, bumper plates, medicine balls, etc from them though. Some things that are fairly generic like kettlebells, weight plates, mats, etc they are ok for. Their prices are definitely cheaper, and with some items it's obvious why. This is not a company I'd rely on for my important buys, but it has its purpose.

If you end up being stuck with it (as in can't return it) just know it is salvagable. The swiss bar racks with the sleeve on the hooks. Get an extra set of collars (Muscle clamps seem to give the most consistency for this) and just set them up so they act as the sleeve stop. Put your weights onto the bar and (assuming you use collars) just slide the other set onto the end.

thanks man.....that is a great idea. The bar is in transit and will be here today or early next week. I have a few extra clamps that I can use.

For the price......it won't bother me to do the minor change. My tracking number says the bar is in the city waiting to get deliverd. Likely it will be here early next week.

After looking at the pic it's not as bad as I remembered. It may not be a huge deal to have someone remove that ring and weld it further down the bar. Or just find some pipe of the same diameter a few inches longer, slide it over top and weld it in.
