Just getting into the BB adventure and am excited to see the results that will come with it. I have been always able to eat what I want and just accepted myself. How many carbs are acceptable? I've gotten my diet down to 1500 calories approximently. Example of yesterday is 1410 calories, 127g protein, 34g of fat, 146g carbs. Is that too high for carbs as I should consume approx 3300 calories for my height and build?

Ensure you hit your minimum protein and fat requirements. After that, eat as many or few carbs as you like, ensuring that you do not go over your daily calorie totals. Carbs don't make you fat, excess calories make you fat.
Your calories look insanely low for pretty much anyone, let alone someone your size, as does your protein and fats. Read the stickies here and in the nutrition section.

Thanks for feedback bro. Ya I know my calories and numbers are very low. Not sure how I'm doing it honestly? My app has logged 1100 calories today as of 9pm with 97 g protein and 162 carbs. I worked off all that in calories just in cardio today. However lost 3lbs in last 3 days. Somehow have been able to hold diet comfortablely last 2 weeks? I'm trying to get my carbs in early before workouts. But wasnt sure how to find my goal of protein/ calories/ and protein take in ?

There is no "acceptable" carb number. They are energy, use them for it. I normally maintain relatively consistent PRO/FAT intake and fluctuate carbs based on activities of the day and target kcal intake for the day.[/QUOTE]

Thanks bro, I've been trying to read up on how to figure out my needs while running a "safe" deficit to burn off weight. While working out tonight was talking to a friend at the gym and a nutritionist happened to overhear our conversation. Gave me a few sources to look at and said to up your numbers tomorrow. Said my deficit was not safe for most people never the less someone my size.

If you want to take in carbs while dieting, try ingesting coconut oil, too. Coconut oil speeds metabolism allowing you to eat carbs while beginning the metabolic process of burning them up as energy. Also, try to eat a few grams of carbs in proportion to your energy needs. I go a few days without carbs, and then gradually carb up only minimally just to keep me sane, and keep my energy levels up. At most, I go three days without carbs, then two days with some carbs. One day of the diet, i will consume a lot of carbs to keep the body guessing. All the time, I consume coconut oil throughout the day to aid in burning up calories.

I'll just chime in and say that although 1500kcal for a lot of people seem way to low, I was told the same thing at 6'4 220lbs. I couldn't lose at 2000 (calculating correctly), and now I'm at 1400-1800kcal a day. If it's activity or metabolism or whatever, everybody is different. You might not lose anything at 2500kcal..

I'm going to try and up my calories and aim no higher than 2000 and see where I stand? So far today with 4 meals down I am at 970 calories today and just don't wanna eat. However I know my body is in starvation mode as I did Tae Kwondo class today and was light headed and weak. Probally should finish day at 1500-1700 calories.
