Thread: 4 Day Split

    4 Day Split

    Currently I am doing the following

    Day 1 - Shoulders and Triceps
    Day 2 - Chest and Biceps
    Day 3 - Back, Legs, and Abs
    Day 4- Rest

    I'm thinking of changing it to

    Day 1 - Back, Legs, and Abs
    Day 2 - Shoulders and Triceps
    Day 3 - Chest and Biceps
    Day 4 - Rest

    I've also thought about having chest and triceps go together, and then have biceps and back go together. Your thoughts? Thanks

    Eh I don't know. I guess I just have a mental block with only working out three days a week.

    Tues- OHP, DB- row, Chins
    Wed - rest
    THurs - Deadlift, Barbell Row, Pull ups, biceps curlz
    Fri - Bench press, Dips, Chest flies

    Much better set up.

    He's focused on the big 4, some assistance & bodybuilding fluff.

    I did the conventional BB split until I started training using a similar approach to the above and both size and strength have improved.

    I wouldn't train legs and back on same day because they are large muscle groups.

    I like to do pull/push/legs. If you want 4 day split, I would train back+bis, chest+tris, quads, shoulders+calves. You can fit abs every 2 workouts or on the day you have the lowest volume.

    if you can do legs and baxk at same day, it cant be intense enough.

    I like to do

    Day1 Chest & Triceps
    Day2 Back & Biceps
    Day3 Legs
    Day4 Shoulders & Traps
    Repeat
    I take rest days when and where I need them and do Abs and cardio at the end of the workout or on rest days depending on how I feel.
