05-05-2013, 10:09 AM #4231Accept what cannot be changed. Once you accept the fact that life is not fair, you will become more at peace with yourself. Instead of obsessing over how unfair life is, just focus on what you can control and change it for the better.

Definitely felt being 20lbs heavier today than my best half marathon. Time to cut down a bit!

Back from carb/fat/protein loading session. Went to AYCE buffet, had eggs, sausage, bacon, chicken, 4 (small) steaks, potatoes with sausage gravy, french toast, two kinds of pizza, macaroni salad, and a green salad with lettuce, tomatoes, eggs, olives, and blue cheese dressing. Going to be doing a little yardio, then heading out to the gym to destroy back and bis. Always have my best lifting days the night of brunch day.

good job on the race. I'm glad I never tried a race when I was heavier. I was always 130s to 140s when I ran. I had a few disappointing races but always improved my times at least by a little. PB-1.26 half; 2.58 full

Sounds like an eventful day for sure!
Lawd -x- I had a pretty motivational thing happen to me this wknd.
My dad asked me to come to the gym with him for old times sake and lift with him.
Few Cliffs about what happened to him just over a year ago before I go into this more
-April 2012 Dad gets pneumonia
-Gets better and then much worse
-Rushed to hospital
-Immediately rushed into trauma room/intubated /rushed to bigger hospital
-Doctors and nurses didn't expect him to make the trip into London
-8 days in ICU
-During recovery back to hospital - Spleen had been poisoned due to going septic
-Spleen removed
Anyways, he has been doing well and recovering since then and is back to work (police officer) not on the road but at the front desk and has been going to the gym every other day for a few months now.
I expected him to do little stuff when I went with him.. cardio/core etc etc.
This fukin guy is hitting the flat bench for more than I can and out lifting me on just about everything.
If he can get his strength and endurance back just over one year after basically almost dying.. anyone who puts their mind to it can. It gave me more motivation seeing him lift than anything ever has.http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=167930303 - Luzz's Log

Weather was heaven here. Fished both mornings. Got landscaping work in my yard done (always greatly underestimate how much mulch I need and have to make two trips!), and watched a lot of playoff hockey.
Good weekend was good. Weather is amazing here again today and tomorrow. But then rain is forecasted for the next week!
What did you do?12-5-23

Ahhhh man.. I was supposed to go fishing Sunday with a buddy but he bailed on me last second the gf and I are going this week tho as long as the weather holds up. It's supposed to be great Wednesday but rain Thursday, so we are aiming to go Wednesday after the gym!! I hope it holds up, I didn't get a lot of fishing done last summer so I wanna start early this year!
I didn't do anything to major, did a few random things around the house.. 3 solid nights of bbq'in, got the car cleaned outside and sort of outside and took it out for the first drive with the top down.. feltgoodman. I am sun burnt as all hell tho, fell asleep outside Friday for a while.. big mistake lol
I also watched a lot of playoff hockey lol.. dem wings are making me quite sad big game tonight .. they need the Whttp://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=167930303 - Luzz's Log

I fish often. I live a couple minutes from the river so if its nice out and I don't get home too late its too easy not the throw the kayak on top on the car and enjoy the weather for a bit even during the week. Hopefully I will get out later for a bit before the games start.
I am a Rangers fan but I have always considered the Wings my favorite team from the West. I hope they winning tonight but even if they don't, what a run they have had for the past two decades. I think the stable force that they have been in the NHL for so long is really under appreciated.12-5-23
