That's a sh*tty feeling bro.
My parents are both pretty young, I was born when they were in high school srs. I'm fortunate they should hopefully be around for quite a while. Enjoy your time with your folks, you never know brahs.☆ There Ain't No Doubt In My Mind, Country Must Be Country Wide ☆

I constantly have these thoughts. But someone on these forums told me that we should be thankful for seeing our parents grow old, some people aren't as lucky.
Obviously it's sad seeing them slowly deteriorate, but in a way it's kind of nice that they get old. They spent so many years raising all of us, working to pay off this and that, and when they finally retire, they get to relax and do whatever they want until the day they die. Not having to worry about work, raising us anymore. That's how I try to look at it.Last edited by Deezenutz; 11-23-2012 at 10:00 PM.

My dad is almost 60 but he's still an ox. He's been doing construction for 30 years and is a beast.
Just carried 50 sheets of drywall with him today and when we were finished I was ready for a nap. He was just fine and ready to go. He def is looking a little older but hes still a beast.RIP Zyzz. Get ripped or die mirin.

I know that feel bro. My dad had congestive heart failure when I was young. Docs told him he wouldn't get any better. He was improving and everything was going smooth. So I was hanging out with him this summer, and he made me dinner. We talked and had some beers, and he told me he thought he was having a heart attack earlier in the day when he was at work. I told him if he's fine now, it probably wasn't a heart attack.
I went out to Seattle with my buddies, and as soon as I opened my first beer, I got a call from him and just heard the word "hospital." I called back 10 times and finally got an answer. He was calling to say goodbye. I sped to the hospital and when I got there, they told me he collapsed as soon as he got there. Massive heart attack. CPR for 10 minutes and 3 shocks with the defibrillator.
As soon as I saw him with wires everywhere, and an oxygen mask, pale and sweaty, I broke down. I've never cried like that before. First thing he said, "Shay... They stuck an aspirin in my butt."
He was on his death bed and still joking.
