back into hypertrophy with significant strength drop

I've just finished my cut and begun bulking up again, and have noticed a significant strength drop. I had been on a strength type phase (4-6 rep) whilst dropping my calorie intake and when I stopped making progress with lifting more weight I began hypertrophic work (8-12).
I am now bringing my calories up to a surplus, but I have noticed a significant drop in my stregnth. For example to acheive 12 reps of dumbell bench press I am lifting 30kgs, in comparison to lifting 40kgs during strength. Im wondering how long will it take before my strength starts to raise again as I begin eating more.

Soon, it all depends on your food intake, rest, and lifting consistency.

It takes a while for the hormonal effects of dieting to show up, give your body some time to restore itself

There is a big difference between hyperthrophy weight range and strength weight range. I recommend doing a program such as phat to get the best of both worlds.

So you're telling me that you could lift 40kg for 5reps and now after increasing reps to 12, you have to lower the weight to complete all reps? Shocking.....
