What does (racemic) taurine actually do?
What are the best affordable supplements for energy? I love Grenade Thermo Detonator but it's ridiculously expensive and comes in an embarrassing grenade-shaped bottle.

You don't gain a lb a week off of a 2500 cal intake a day lol unless you are 60lbs. Your body weight fluctuates often through the day make sure to weigh yourself in the morning after you use the restroom and before you eat for consistency.

No idea and if you want energy when working out look into pre workouts.

Could somebody recommend a cheap (<£5), primarily protein, minimal preparation needed, 200-400kcal food or drink available in Britain? I'm potentially going to end the day on 640kcal and 13g protein, and would like to remedy that, but have very little money.

buy cooked meat from a supermarket? you know like they have the desks in tesco and waitrose where they sell hot already cooked chicken and chit

or skimmed milk, can just drink that straight out the bottle

i dont really like them but could go to subway too, just get a 6 inch sub and choose a bunch of meat for filling

just read you're vegetarian in your thread

So ok could go for low fat cottage cheese, low fat yoghurt or skimmed milk. That's all i can think of that is veggie and mostly protein and cheap

last resort could bite the bullet and get one of those overpriced (but still under £5) protein shakes they sell in big supermarkets or holland and barrett

I hope this is the right spot. My nephew is big 8 yrs old and 120 lbs. Is it to early to start him in the gym with me? I know what exercises I'm going to go with him and I know about not pushing to much weight but is it too early in general? Thanks

Stopped squatting for awhile and just came back to it and already almost stronger than I was. But just gotta make sure my form is passable.

Here's the link, https://youtu.be/rxWVcINJ5jc The only possible problems see is, depth is a bit iffy and i could be more vertical. So can someone watch the video and tell me what i need to work on?

You should probably consult a Dr. seems like that may be a little too young for weights you can have him do bodyweight stuff though.

Depth is fine. From what I can see is your major issue is when coming up out of the hole you let you chest dip down so pull your elbows down towards you and the bar into your traps and when coming up have your chest facing forward don't let it droop down.

Thanks, that is what I was thinking just mainly body weight stuff. Anything really to get him moving and lose some weight. I'll see if I can get in touch with his doctor of something before anything else.

Just stopping by, but wanted to let you know that I can tell you are really concentrating on form and it is actually pretty good for a newb! Good depth, making sure not to buttwink, keeping pretty good back angle (not GM) when it starting getting heavy for you. I would just suggest to fiddle with hand/bar placement to see if it feels better.

However, two points about your setup - turn your rack around so the shorter ends of the supports face you, and raise it up so you can unrack without having to get quite sooooo low
    Gym PRs:
    SQ: 360 x 1, BP: 165 x 1, DL: 330 x 2, OHP: 110 x 2

    Best meet lifts (raw w/wraps):
    SQ: 365, BP: 155, DL: 350, Elite total of 870 @165

Closest thing to a log, but better cause it's vids! = www.youtube.com/user/birdiefu

Bulk at 1lb per week and see where that takes you, you don't want to gain too much fat.

3 other ways I can think of:-

    1. holding a dumbbell between your legs
    2. put weight(dumbbell or plate) in your backpack(if you carry one to the gym)
    3. ankle weights

Dumbbell between the feet is probably the most convenient.

Started slow bulking since around April. Gained like 22 lbs, so around 0.6 lbs per week. Mid section look kinda like chit now, so I think I'm gonna cut soon.

So assuming half of what I've gained is fat, is it correct that I should be aiming to cut 10 lbs off before slow bulking again?

Unless you compete in a weight class sport use the mirror as your judge cut until you think you have lost enough.
