Damn chronic mouthbreathing can really **** you up (uglier, sleep apnea, tired) etc

Why is this **** not talked about more often?

less oxygen to cells, not enough CO2, longer/ narrower face developments, double chins, recessive chin, sleep apnea, cardiovascular problems

    **** really ****s you up

take a look, pdf even shows pics of what happens to the faces of kids who breathe through the mouth chronically

    http://www.fasttraxortho.com/Mouthbreathing.pdf

    link to more evidence: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...#post983404193

I think my right nostril or w/e has a deviated septum. My right nostril, when I inhale through my nose, only takes in a very very small amount of air.. where as my left nostril pulls in 95% of the air.

Should I get this fixed -_-

I try consciously as much as I can to breathe through my nose...feels suffocating man

One off my nostrils is always blocked up..its weird.

I do find it relaxing when I am in bed (when sleeping with no girl) by myself I can really try focus on breathing through my nose...i have to take huge breathes until I can get a good rhythm going

Fuuuuuuuuuuuu didn't realize this ****ed up your face. I've been a mouth breather for nearly my whole life. I'm now to the point where I can breathe through my nose for most of the day, until I sleep. No matter what, I always wake up breathing through my mouth. Anyone know of any ways to stop this?

That feel of lost aesthetics due to childhood mouth breathing is a bad feel

    Can't be real?

Don't even care anyway, don't breathe through my mouth unless I'm really struggling for breath or potentially when I'm sleeping, idk, never been told I snore so don't think I even do there.

you have to train yourself. You are not going to stop bad habits overnight. ****, is also bad for you when you sleep on your back (it causes open mouth breathing, and can lead to strokes etc associated with it).

Consciously, try yourself while awake. Exercise with only nasal breathing to strengthen your lung capacity and diaphragm, then when you dont exercise its much easier to get enough air.

Years of mouth breathing weakened your breathing system. Good news, is that it is reversible aside from the possible loss of facial aesthetics.

you can also buy a chin strap to help you at night.

From experience I'd say probably don't bother. I had a deviated septum and had a septorhiniplasty (so they straightened my nose at the same time) 2 and a half years ago. Honestly it didn't make a huge difference to my breathing (was cool having a straight nose though). Well it didn't help that I got hit in the face a year later and that messed it up again anyway.

Also there's still blood every time I blow my nose and it's often painful too. So yeah.

if the cause is mouth breathing you can train yourself to stop, if the cause is a structural problem you probably need surgery ( either way you should schedule an ent specialist visit) dont **** around with sleep apnea, people die from it

a good way to tell if you mouth breathe at night is if you wake up with a dry mouth

dat feel when you realize if you kept your mouth shut as a child you would be 2-3 points higher

    another doc for the skeptics

Is this relevant even if your face is already developed? At 21 I don't think much is gonna change and I constantly breath through my mouth
