Whey Protein
im wondering is it ok for a 16 year old to have protein shakes? and if so what type best for price and quality

Whey protein is great for everyone! Easy, Convenient & Cheap if in bulk.
It is a very versatile product that provides Protein macros.
Your 16, suppose your doing any resistance training/ physical activities? By all means go ahead.
But on the other hand, if you are able to get more than enough protein from your daily meals ex: chicken, eggs etc... you might consider.

how much protein would i need im around 190lbs and 6ft?

Think its 1/2g per lb of your bodyweight

I don't take supplements myself. I heard ON whey is good. Could just wait for other posts.

Well..you need to do some research. Go to walmart and check for the 6 stars whey protein. They do the job for a good price.

It depends and varies from person to person. If your lifting i'd recommend hitting 1g-1.5g per lb of bodyweight. Unless your body fat is high.

Good quality brands are ON, Dymatize , Gaspari and so on. Do some research and read the stickies IMO
