Just ordered some Fat Gripz yesterday for the hell of it. Should arrive next week.
I usually deadlift with chalk only using a mixed grip.
Should I do the same wiht the fat gripz or use DOH grip?
Also do you need chalk when using these things?
Thanks.

You can grip any way you like, but you'll probably pull a lot more mixed. At a certain point they're going to deform a little from the weight on the bar and get really messy for DOH (I have old ones so might not be the case with new/newer ones though). Chalk's not very necessary because the rubber provides good friction. Wouldn't hurt I guess.

I would just pull DOH.
If your DOH gets better your mixed grip should get better as well.It surprises me how many people refuse to buy equipment from Elitefts because its too expensive but they will buy equipment from their competitors, then continue to go on EFS website to educate themselves for FREE

Risk is not worth the benefit in my opinion. Unless you are training for an event that requires something with a wide diameter being picked up, stick with double overhand. Tons of intances of bicep tears when deadlifting with fat bars.
