noob gains of 5 lbs a months without fat gain

Is it normal that I am gaining 5 lbs a month. I have started bulking at 6 ft 1, 135 lbs 10% bf. In my 1st month, i have gained 5 lbs and gained 2 lbs in two weeks, so sitting at 142 lbs now. Never trained my legs before and they seem to be considerably bigger. My face and body is still very lean ( i take pictures, so bf has not changed ). Noob gains?

Yes. And personally I'd try to gain 2-3lbs a week. Take full advantage of them noob gains. I've made a friend do that. 4 weeks later. 8kg later. +1% bf later. Worth it

thanks man! Ones I listened to the knowledgeable people here about the calorie intake, my progress skyrocketed. I started to bulk at 2700 kcal and did not see much change for many months. Bumped it up to 2900 and the gains started to come !

Could it be that my legs are growing fast as I have never trained them before and they were very very small before I started? Cause I read that legs have a lot of weight/mass you can add

    Congratulations on the 5ibs.
Yea, legs, as well as other muscles, depend on genetics. But overall, legs do add a lot of mass:

They are probably one of the muscles that add most easily. At least that my experience.
    More pain, more gain.
