Hey guys, currently cutting.....I was cutting on 275C/140P/60F......and tried upping my fats and protein to see how it felt...currently on 205C/150P/85F...it's about the same cals, but honestly ever since upping my fat I've been just hungry after every meal. I felt much more satiated with higher carb intake. I am thinking of trying 240C/175P/60F in the hopes of a more optimal cut.
My question is, would 60F be sufficient on a extended cut.....It's a little less than .35 x my current BW (177lbs). I am aiming for 1lbs a week which is what I have been getting so far. I am also a newb lifter, going on 6 months soon. I was formerly 305lbs about 3 years ago, but did no lifting up until almost 6 months ago.
Routine:
Mon- Legs (heavy)
Tue- Shoulders/calve
Wed- Chest/Tri
Thur- 2nd leg day (lower weight, higher volume)
Fri- Back/Bi
Sat/Sun - Rest or some cardio
Lift stats:
Squat - 225 x 6 x 6, 275 x 1 x 2(Max)
Deadlift - 275 x 4 x 4, 315 x 1(1RM)
DB Chest press - 70's x 5 x 4
Seated OH tricep extension - 80 x 8 x 4
DB Shoulder press - 60's x 5 x 4
DB 1 arm Rows - 80's x 8 x 4
Also do facepulls/bicep curls/pull-ups/hacksquats/lunges/leg extensions/tricep rope pulldowns/lateral raises/rear delt-flys/and close grip lat pull-downs, etc.
-Just didn't want to state all those numbers.
Basically if 320C/175P/80F is my maint.......would running 240C/175P/60F, be a suitable cut for someone with my stats or should I lean back towards the other two set of macros I mentioned earlier, OR if anyone has another suggestion or perspective/opinion that could me help me.....am I pretty close on the ball? way far off? or just right?
As for any critique on progress, to put some perspective on it, my first day in the gym I got pinned under 115lbs on the decline.....which is why you see pretty much all DB movements aside from squat/DL....lolz. Be nice, be harsh. Honestly because of some of the estats I read on dare I say, the "Misc".....I've been questioning my progress and am trying to perfect my routine/macros as much as possible.
Any advice/criticism/suggestions would be much appreciated.
