Went to college, got a 9-5, ended up working 8-4 to beat traffic. Got a pimp house, nice older car, still not married.

I just invite chicks to my house, when they see it they get wet. When they see the 300g fish tank and hot tub the panties drop.

I travel to the beach at least once a month, and travel around the country and to bahamas. Still saving for a 2 month trip back to the south pacific and Im looking to change jobs for a 40% increase in pay.

Oh and my only dept is the house, so not all of us are dumb as crap OP.

an education is enormously beneficial though and can be put to many uses- iplan on writing a novel and a degree in science has given me writing skills id never have without it.

The only thing I will agree with is a the mortgage aspect. Buying the biggest possible house you get approved for just cause you can "afford" it is stupid. 30+ years of a mortgage is stupid. BRB $750,000 McMansion you "own" (bank owns) when you have a wife and 2 kids is ridiculous. Not having the mortgage could have provided luxuries, awesome vacations, the money to start a business, etc.

My dad always said the smartest thing he did was pay off his 30 year mortgage in under 10. BRB not getting in over your head by getting the biggest loan offered, BRB practical house so if emergency happens you can still make payments, BRB own it outright. BRB 3 bed, 2 bath, 2 1/2 car garage in quiet neighborhood. BRB only child, thanks dad.

BRB mortgage cuz no apartment complex will have my labrador and pitbull who are my homies till death

The point is don't get a huge ass mortgage just because society says you aren't successful unless your house is big. I would much rather buy a practical house without a huge mortgage taking a huge chunk of my pay over 30 years. Pay it off ASAP and live a lot more stress free.
